## The honest read

The most telling review of A&R MBE Roofing comes from a former roofing-materials salesman: in July 2026 he wrote that the company charged about half what his old employer would have, used better materials, and ran crews that worked hard from start to finish — "no games." A&R is a family- and minority-owned Framingham roofer founded by Angel Aguirre, who runs it with Isabela, Andy and Angel Jr. in management, doing residential and commercial roofing plus framing and roof, window and gutter repairs across Massachusetts.

The handful of homeowners who have written all tell a similar story. A 2024 customer chose A&R over other bidders because it worked out a difficult detail where dissimilar roofing materials met — keeping a perfectly good rubber roof instead of tearing it off — and finished on time and on budget. Another that year got a quote with no surprises in the price and a crew that scheduled around the homeowner and showed up when promised. An October 2025 customer described a team that explained each step from the quote to the final cleanup and left the yard clean. Google shows five stars from six ratings.

The paperwork is in order: its Massachusetts home improvement contractor registration (200452) is active on the state registry, BBB lists a construction supervisor licence (CS-115271) alongside it and has accredited the company with an A+ since 2021, and the company says its crews are OSHA-trained and that it holds GAF, Mule Hide and GenFlex manufacturer certifications. On the commercial side, its Procore profile lists 32 projects with 19 active. OSHA's website lists a partial inspection of the company on April 10, 2023, with no findings shown here.

For a residential re-roof or a flat rubber roof where price and a straight answer matter, A&R is a small shop with a consistent, if short, record. Ask which manufacturer warranty comes with your shingle or membrane, and confirm the crew lead and cleanup terms in writing.

**Strengths:**
- Value pricing — former materials salesman says half the price with better materials
- Accurate quotes — 2024 reviewers report no price surprises, on time and on budget
- Problem-solving — kept a sound rubber roof rather than tearing it off
- Active HIC registration — Massachusetts 200452 verified, BBB A+ accredited since 2021

**Concerns:**
- OSHA inspection — April 2023 partial inspection listed without findings
- Short written record — five reviews since 2024

**Where sources disagree:**
- Tenure: the company's site says 10 years in business while BBB records 7.
