## The honest read

A.C. Masonry, Landscape & Construction is a Brockton masonry and home-improvement company. Its own site lists brick and stone masonry, pavers, interlocking paver patios, concrete patios, retaining walls and kitchen and bathroom remodeling, and describes it as a family owned company. It holds an A+ grade from the Better Business Bureau.

In 2019 a customer said AC Masonry rebuilt brick and flagstone stairs built in the 40's to brand new looking. In another 2019 review, a customer said a stone wall from the 1800s went from bid to project completion in a matter of weeks, on time and on budget. In 2021 a customer said the crew repaired concrete steps to a hundred-year-old house, with granite treads set in new concrete and mortar. In 2020 a customer said it rebuilt a very large sunken stone fire pit on time and on budget. In 2023 a customer said it took apart an old stucco wall, replaced the inside with water treated wood, cemented the outside and painted it.

The company also does yard work. In 2019 a customer said Ramon repaired a stone wall and Henry removed bushes and planted new plants. In 2018 a customer praised a.3 acre fall clean up. In 2020 a customer said it repaired fence sections that were about to collapse, completed the project on time and on budget, and provided additional service at no additional charge.

In 2019 a customer said it came back to look at masonry work on cement steps and redid the work because of cracks in the cement. In 2022 a customer wrote that once you agree to a contract you have to honor it and not change anything later on.

**Strengths:**
- Old masonry repair — 2019 stone wall from the 1800s, 2021 century-old steps
- Stands behind work — came back in 2019 to redo cracked cement steps

**Concerns:**
- Contract changes — a 2022 review asked it to honor agreed terms
