Last 6 months: 1 reviews, 0 negative. ## The honest read Water damage and insurance claims are a big part of what A.G. Reliable Remodeling does, and customers keep crediting owner Allen Grome for steering them through the paperwork. In a July 2026 review, a homeowner said Allen and his crew repaired ceiling, window, wall and basement damage from the winter's storms and helped with their homeowners claim. In a February 2025 review, a customer whose pipes burst while they were out of town said the company got the town to shut off the water and had pumping started within hours, then renovated the ruined kitchen and built a family-room extension. The Framingham remodeler lists kitchens, bathrooms, basements, additions, decks, roofing, siding, windows and insurance restoration on its site, and says it is family-owned with 30 years in business. The BBB names Allen Grome as owner and rates the company A+; it is not BBB accredited. Its Massachusetts home improvement contractor registration (#192505) is active on the state registry. The site also prints the number CSL # 81310. On Google it holds 4.8 stars from 32 ratings, and many of the jobs customers describe are large. In January 2026, a Framingham couple said Allen recommended an architect and built an in-law suite onto their ranch for her parents, along with a new kitchen. A February 2026 reviewer described a second-story addition followed by a bathroom and basement renovation, with Allen on site every day. A June 2025 customer had 14 windows replaced. An October 2024 reviewer said the crew fixed the foundation and replaced the bulkhead after a drunk driver hit the house. In a February 2026 review, a customer who had an addition built said there was a lack of communication and follow-through, structural mistakes, poor scheduling and late supply orders that led to delays and overages, and finish problems including wall corners that were not square and a nicked baseboard; after one attempt at the punch list, they told the crew to leave. **Strengths:** - Insurance claims — customers credit Allen with navigating their claims - Additions — an in-law suite (January 2026), a second story (February 2026) - Emergency response — burst-pipe flooding stopped within hours in February 2025 **Concerns:** - Addition quality — a February 2026 reviewer cited structural mistakes and delays **Where sources disagree:** - The company's site claims 30 years in business, while the BBB records a September 2004 business start (21 years) ## Claims & citations Every claim below is backed by real evidence rows — uncited claims are dropped in code before publication. - Massachusetts home improvement contractor registration #192505 is active, held by A.G.
