M. Busa Construction's BuildZoom profile — the working trail of a Bedford general contractor that dates itself to 1975, incorporated in 2000, and describes itself as a second-generation, family-owned firm. What it says it does is residential and light commercial remodeling, additions and finish carpentry, and the carpentry end turns up everywhere the company lists itself: custom carpentry on its Better Business Bureau profile, finish carpentry and trim work on Houzz, alongside kitchens, baths, and basement or attic renovations. The Better Business Bureau grades it A+, lists it as not accredited, and reports seven employees under president Angelo M. Busa. Both state credentials are active: Massachusetts has home improvement contractor registration #172053 and construction supervisor licence CS-105696 on its registry in the name of Michael Busa. On Google, the company's listing shows a 5-star average from two ratings. For a Bedford-area addition, a kitchen or bath rebuild, or trim and built-in work where the carpentry is the point, this is a reasonable call. Get the scope and the allowances in writing before you sign, confirm the construction supervisor licence covers the structural side of your job, and ask for a certificate of insurance and the addresses of a few recent jobs like yours. **Strengths:** - Active state licences — home improvement and construction supervisor, both registry-verified - 49 permits filed — a documented run of permitted Massachusetts work - Second-generation firm — Bedford family business since 1975, by its account - A+ BBB grade — top letter rating, though not an accredited business - Finish carpentry — named on its own site and directory profiles ## Claims & citations Every claim below is backed by real evidence rows — uncited claims are dropped in code before publication. - Massachusetts home improvement contractor registration #172053 is active on the state registry, in the name of Michael Busa _(confidence: high)_ - [State License Registry](https://contractorhub.mass.gov/s/hic-contractor-search) — “MA hic license 172053 registry-verified active — registry holder of record: MICHAEL BUSA” - Massachusetts construction supervisor licence CS-105696 is active on the state registry _(confidence: high)_ - [State License Registry](https://madpl.mylicense.com/Verification/) — “MA csl license CS-105696 registry-verified active — registry holder of record: MICHAEL A BUSA” - Graded A+ by the Better Business Bureau _(confidence: medium)_ - [Better Business Bureau](https://www.bbb.org/us/ma/bedford/profile/general-contractor/am-busa-construction-inc-0021-15766) — “Better Business Bureau grade: A+” - The Better Business Bureau lists the company as not accredited and reports 51 years in business with seven employees under president Angelo M.
