Puma Restoration & Remodeling **Trade:** General Contractor / Remodeling · **Address:** 209 W Central St Ste 104, Natick, MA 01760, USA · **Phone:** (508) 941-8569 · **Website:** https://www.awpuma.com/ · **Languages:** English **Rating: 1.7/5** (high confidence) — from 38 reviews across 6 sources. 71% of sentiment-scored reviews read net-positive. Last 6 months: 1 reviews, 1 negative. ## The honest read A.W. Puma Restoration & Remodeling, a Natick, Massachusetts general contractor run by Albert Puma, has built a long list of five-star kitchen, bathroom, and storm-repair jobs — and, running alongside it, a growing list of accounts describing stalled or abandoned projects. The two most recent reviews on file, from March and May 2026, are both one-star. Google and Houzz both put the company above 4 stars — 4.6★ from 42 Google ratings and 4.4★ from 37 Houzz ratings — and the written reviews behind those numbers describe real, well-regarded work. In a 2025 review, a kitchen renovation was called efficient and professional with stunning results; another 2025 review described a full-house residing job customers said 'crushed it'; and a rebuilt front portico and a new deck, replacing a crumbling 20-year-old one, both drew praise the same year. In a 2022 review, one family described using the company repeatedly since 2015 for a kitchen remodel, a four-season room, and new windows and doors, all called high quality, and a 2024 review credited the crew with responding to a tree that damaged a customer's roof, working around the household's schedule and keeping the site clean. Set against that is a recurring, specific complaint that spans several years and platforms: customers describing projects that stalled for months or were never finished. In a 2025 review, a customer said a roof was removed and the job then stalled, leaving the home exposed to the elements; another 2025 review described a large remodel that stalled 'multiple times for months at a time' with poor communication from Albert; and a 2024 Houzz review said a contracted kitchen-and-three-bathroom remodel missed its finish date and left the family without a working kitchen or bathroom before they hired someone else to complete it. A Better Business Bureau review, without a listed date, describes the company abandoning a project before finishing it. The two most recent reviews on file continue that thread: a March 2026 review described a furnace repair where a promised replacement part was never actually ordered, and a May 2026 review described tile and plumbing work with visible defects. Its Better Business Bureau profile carries an F grade with three complaints on file, and its Massachusetts home improvement contractor registration, tied to A.W. Puma Construction & Remodeling, LLC, is now expired. For a smaller, well-defined job — a repair, a single room, storm damage — the reviews describe a responsive, skilled crew. For a large remodel or an addition, the pattern of stalled and abandoned projects is serious enough to warrant firm written milestones and a direct check on the current registration status before signing anything. **Strengths:** - Well-reviewed remodels — kitchens, baths, additions and decks all praised specifically - Repeat clients — one family used them for four projects since 2015 - Storm response — handled a tree-damaged roof quickly and kept it orderly - Strong platform ratings — 4.6★ on Google, 4.4★ on Houzz **Concerns:** - Stalled projects — several reviews describe multi-month or unfinished work - Recent complaints — both reviews in the last six months are negative - Expired registration — its Massachusetts HIC license is not active - BBB F grade — three complaints on file with the bureau **Where sources disagree:** - Platform headline ratings (4.6★ Google, 4.4★ Houzz) sit well above what the written record actually shows — a pattern of repeated project-stalling and abandonment complaints running from 2022 through the two most recent 2026 reviews. - One five-star Google review from March 2025 nonetheless describes prior problems and asks the business to be more accountable — a mismatch between its star rating and its written content. ## Claims & citations Every claim below is backed by real evidence rows — uncited claims are dropped in code before publication. - Its Massachusetts home improvement contractor registration, held by A.W.
