The available customer record is thin but consistently negative. In a 2022 review, a customer described furniture that went missing or was damaged during a move, with unexpected charges added on top. Another 2022 review described movers who mishandled items marked fragile. A 2024 review described repeated unwanted calls after declining service. Separately, the company holds an A+ Better Business Bureau grade with no complaints on file, which sits in tension with the pattern described in the Google reviews above. Anyone considering this company for a move should ask directly about how they handle fragile and valuable items, get a firm, itemized price in writing before booking, and confirm what happens if items are damaged in transit. **Concerns:** - Damaged or missing furniture — a 2022 review described items lost or damaged with added charges - Fragile item handling — a 2022 review described mishandling of items marked fragile - Repeated unwanted calls — a 2024 review described dozens of calls after declining service **Where sources disagree:** - Better Business Bureau shows an A+ grade with no complaints filed, in tension with four uniformly one-star Google reviews describing damaged property, mishandled fragile items and unexpected charges. ## Claims & citations Every claim below is backed by real evidence rows — uncited claims are dropped in code before publication. - Leominster, Massachusetts-based Allied Van Lines agent serving Maine, New Hampshire, Massachusetts and Vermont. _(confidence: high)_ - [Official Website](https://abcalliedmoving.com) — “ABC Moving & Storage is a Leominster, Massachusetts-based Allied Van Lines agent providing residential and commercial local and long-distanc…” - In business since 1981, over 30 years by the site's own account. _(confidence: medium)_ - [Official Website](https://abcalliedmoving.com) — “Company history (self-reported): Relocation company since 1981, over 30 years in business as of the site's copy.” - Better Business Bureau grade A+, not accredited, no complaints published. _(confidence: high)_ - [Better Business Bureau](https://www.bbb.org/us/me/portland/profile/moving-companies/abc-moving-storage-company-0021-92461) — “Better Business Bureau grade: A+” - A 2022 Google review described furniture that went missing or was damaged, with unexpected charges added. _(confidence: high)_ - [Google Reviews](https://www.google.com/maps/reviews/data=!4m8!14m7!1m6!2m5!1sChZDSUhNMG9nS0VJQ0FnSUMtbFBuMWFBEAE!2m1!1s0x0:0xfc5ea5219385ef3f!3m1!1s2@1:CIHM0ogKEICAgIC-lPn1aA%7C%7C?hl=en) — “1★ Furniture missing, Furniture damaged and they don't give a dam about you or your possessions.
