## The honest read

Advanced Glass & Mirror is a Westminster shop that handles window glass, shower doors, mirrors, storm windows and screens, and windshield replacements — the kind of glass work that shows up in dozens of specific, named-staff reviews going back to 2022. It's certified as a Massachusetts Women Business Enterprise, run under owner Christy (Christi) Friedrichs, and holds an A+ rating with the Better Business Bureau.

The volume and consistency of praise here is striking: 43 reviews, nearly all five stars, and reviewers keep naming the same handful of people — Mike for estimates, Nick, Adam, Jeff, Eddie and Ryan for installs. The jobs described range from routine (a cracked window pane, a fogged shower door) to unusual: a custom-cut thin glass panel to avoid plexiglass glare on a poster, a replacement cover for a bar's fuel pump, an 11-foot mirror installed at a business. In a 2023 review from a subcontracting relationship, a customer described the team stepping in to fix a glitch in a glass install mid-project and "dealing with the contractor on my behalf" — the kind of detail that shows up when the work is actually solid rather than just polite. A 2025 review from a fellow contractor, Shades In Place, praises the same reliability on multi-trade coordinated projects.

It isn't a perfect record. In a 2022 review (in Spanish), a customer described a stairway installation left defective, with repeated calls for a fix going unanswered. And in a late-2025 review, a customer who was otherwise satisfied with the technical work flagged real friction getting a firm appointment time — a back-and-forth between the receptionist and the technician that took several rounds to land a date.

One thing worth confirming directly: the company's Massachusetts home improvement contractor registration is currently expired per the state registry, even though the Better Business Bureau separately lists a construction supervisor license (CS-102815) for the company. It's worth asking about current licensing status before signing a contract.

For everyday glass and mirror work, the account here is deep and largely glowing — just go in with clear expectations on scheduling and confirm licensing is current.

**Strengths:**
- Named-staff consistency — same installers praised repeatedly across years
- Handles the unusual — custom glass cuts, mid-project fixes

**Concerns:**
- Registration expired — MA HIC registration lapsed per state registry
- Scheduling friction — some reviews cite phone-tag on appointments
