Last 6 months: 146 reviews, 1 negative. ## The honest read Advanced Window Systems is a replacement window, door and bath company at 14 Alcap Ridge in Cromwell, Connecticut. The company's site says it has been in business 40 years and pairs its exterior products with professional installation and warranties, and the Better Business Bureau lists windows of every common style, doors, siding, shower replacement and tub-to-shower conversions. The courant.com ran a Top Workplaces piece on the company. Its Connecticut home improvement contractor registration HIC.0556507 is active, held by ADVANCED WINDOW SYSTEMS LLC. Google shows 4.9 stars from 959 ratings; Angi and HomeAdvisor each show 5.0 from 3, and Houzz 5.0 from 2. Whole-house window jobs done quickly are what the recent reviews describe: a February 2026 review says Edison and his team installed 27 windows between 8am and 5 pm, a September 2026 review counts 19 windows in 2 days, another 20 windows in two days by a crew of four, and an October 2026 review says a 1905 home's install planned for 3 days was finished in a single day with the trim kept and the grids matched to the old windows. An October 2026 review of 14 windows and two exterior doors calls the job expensive but worth it under the lifetime warranty. Rafal is praised as a one-man installer in September and October 2026 reviews, and bath work shows up too, with an August 2025 shower installation and an October 2026 walk in shower sale by Zack, a repeat customer. The complaints are about follow-through before and after the job. A September 2026 two-star review says the customer paid $2,000 more than competitors on a salesperson's promises, and after he left the company several promised items were not done. A July 2026 four-star review says the company kept rescheduling appointments before the consultation, and an April 2025 one-star review says an estimator never showed for a siding estimate. A December 2021 Reddit comment says the company was 4 months out. **Strengths:** - Fast window installs — 27 windows in one day in 2026 - Careful installers — trim kept, grids matched on an older home - Lifetime warranty — cited by buyers of windows and doors **Concerns:** - Sales promises — 2026 review says promised items went undone - Appointment scheduling — reviews cite rescheduled and missed estimate visits ## Claims & citations Every claim below is backed by real evidence rows — uncited claims are dropped in code before publication. - Connecticut HIC registration HIC.0556507 is active, held by ADVANCED WINDOW SYSTEMS LLC _(confidence: high)_ - [State License Registry](https://www.elicense.ct.gov/Lookup/LicenseLookup.aspx) — “CT hic license HIC.0556507 registry-verified active — registry holder of record: ADVANCED WINDOW SYSTEMS LLC” - 4.9 stars from 959 Google ratings; 5.0 from 3 on Angi and on HomeAdvisor; 5.0 from 2 on Houzz _(confidence: high)_ - [Google](https://www.google.com/maps/search/?api=1&query=Advanced%20Window%20Systems%20LLC&query_place_id=ChIJRSPUXHCz54kR4O2dn9h-k30) — “Google: 4.9★ from 959 ratings” - [Angi](https://www.angi.com/companylist/us/ct/cromwell/advanced-window-systems-llc-reviews-1.htm) — “Angi: 5.0★ from 3 ratings” - [HomeAdvisor](https://www.homeadvisor.com/rated.AdvancedWindowSystems.121412005.html) — “HomeAdvisor: 5.0★ from 3 ratings” - [Houzz](https://www.houzz.com/professionals/window-sales-and-installation/advanced-window-systems-llc-pfvwus-pf~664120740) — “Houzz: 5.0★ from 2 ratings” - Large window installs finished in one or two days (2026) _(confidence: high)_ - [Google Reviews](https://www.google.com/maps/reviews/data=!4m8!14m7!1m6!2m5!1sCi9DQUlRQUNvZENodHljRjlvT210UFMyZGZWR3A0Y0VKVFdtZDFRMUZvVkZBMGRuYxAB!2m1!1s0x0:0x7d937ed89f9dede0!3m1!1s2@1:CAIQACodChtycF9oOmtPS2dfVGp4cEJTWmd1Q1FoVFA0dnc%7C%7C?hl=en-US) — “5★ We had half the windows replaced on our 1905 home to improve energy efficiency.
