--- title: "AJ Home Builders Inc." description: "AJ Home Builders is a Cape Cod general contractor working out of East Sandwich, built from what started in 2020 as AJ Carpentry — the company Jean Pimenta " doc_version: "2026-09-03" last_updated: "2026-09-03" --- # AJ Home Builders Inc. **Trade:** General Contractor / Remodeling · **Address:** 8 Palmer Rd, East Sandwich, MA 02537 · **Phone:** (508) 978-7559 · **Website:** https://ajhomebuilder.com · **Languages:** English **Rating: 4.5/5** (high confidence) — from 38 reviews across 7 sources. 100% of sentiment-scored reviews read net-positive. Last 6 months: 5 reviews, 0 negative. ## The honest read AJ Home Builders is a Cape Cod general contractor working out of East Sandwich, built from what started in 2020 as AJ Carpentry — the company Jean Pimenta and Anderson Silva founded together and still run today, Jean as CEO and Anderson as COO. Reviewers still call them 'AJ Carpentry' as often as 'AJ Home Builders,' and the range of work backs up both names: additions, whole-home renovations, and the kind of finish carpentry — trim, framing, window and door work — that made their reputation. What stands out across dozens of reviews from 2022 through 2026 is how consistently specific the praise is. Homeowners describe deck rebuilds, a nine-window installation, full siding jobs, and a leaking skylight assessed within 12 hours of the call. Bigger projects get the same treatment — a 2024 review describes an addition finished on time and on budget, a 2025 review describes a master bath refinish with an estimate the reviewer called spot-on, and another describes one job combining new siding, windows, and a kitchen and bathroom renovation. The word that comes up again and again isn't just 'professional' — it's specific numbers holding: estimates matching final bills, jobsites cleaned nightly, crews showing up when they said they would. The company's Massachusetts home improvement contractor registration is active, and the Better Business Bureau lists a separate Massachusetts license (CSFA-106683) valid through January 2028, alongside an A+ accredited rating. Recent activity has stayed just as strong — five reviews in the last six months, all five stars, describing the same responsiveness and follow-through as the older ones. There's no documented complaint in the record to weigh against that, and the range of trades — home building, carpentry, siding, windows, remodeling — reflects a company that has grown past a narrow specialty since its 2020 founding as a two-person carpentry outfit. For anything from a deck repair to a full addition or room remodel on Cape Cod, the record here is deep, recent, and consistent. **Strengths:** - Windows and siding — repeated praise across dozens of reviews - On-budget work — reviewers cite accurate estimates and on-time finishes - Fast response — a leaking skylight was assessed within 12 hours ## Claims & citations Every claim below is backed by real evidence rows — uncited claims are dropped in code before publication. - A Cape Cod general contractor based in East Sandwich, founded in 2020 as AJ Carpentry by Jean Pimenta and Anderson Silva, now offering custom home construction, additions, and kitchen and bathroom remodeling across Barnstable County _(confidence: high)_ - [Official Website](https://ajhomebuilder.com) — “A Cape Cod general contractor, formerly AJ Carpentry, that builds custom homes and additions and does kitchen, bath, whole-home, deck, roofi…” - [Official Website](https://ajhomebuilder.com) — “Company history (self-reported): Began as AJ Carpentry, founded by two friends with roots on Cape Cod, and states it has been building on th…” - [Official Website](https://ajhomebuilder.com) — “Ownership (self-reported): Founded by two friends; the site names Jean Pimenta as CEO & Founder and Anderson Silva as COO & Founder” - [Official Website](https://ajhomebuilder.com) — “AJ Home Builders is a Cape Cod-based general contractor (formerly AJ Carpentry, founded 2020) offering custom home construction, additions, …” - Google shows a 5-star rating from 33 ratings, and HomeAdvisor shows 4.9 stars from 6 ratings _(confidence: high)_ - [HomeAdvisor](https://www.homeadvisor.com/rated.AJCarpentry.109395545.html) — “HomeAdvisor: 4.9★ from 6 ratings” - [Google](https://www.google.com/maps/search/?api=1&query=AJ%20Home%20Builders&query_place_id=ChIJmwbMQHsNe0URiqn5TuC0tKY) — “Google: 5★ from 33 ratings” - Its Massachusetts home improvement contractor registration is active _(confidence: high)_ - [State License Registry](https://contractorhub.mass.gov/s/hic-contractor-search) — “MA hic license 205821 registry-verified active — registry holder of record: AJ Home Builders INC” - Better Business Bureau lists a separate Massachusetts license (CSFA-106683) issued by the Office of Public Safety and Inspections, expiring January 2028, and gives the company an A+ accredited rating _(confidence: medium)_ - [Better Business Bureau](https://www.bbb.org/us/ma/east-sandwich/profile/custom-home-builder/aj-home-builders-inc-0021-566246) — “Better Business Bureau grade: A+” - [Better Business Bureau](https://www.bbb.org/us/ma/east-sandwich/profile/custom-home-builder/aj-home-builders-inc-0021-566246) — “Better Business Bureau: accredited / certified / member” - [Better Business Bureau](https://www.bbb.org/us/ma/hyannis/profile/custom-home-builder/aj-home-builders-inc-0021-566246/addressId/773320) — “Licence listed on Better Business Bureau: License number CSFA-106683 issued by Massachusetts Office of Public Safety and Inspections (OPSI),…” - Reviews from 2023 through 2026 repeatedly describe window, siding and deck projects finished on time and left clean, including a full deck replacement and a nine-window installation _(confidence: medium)_ - [Google Reviews](https://www.google.com/maps/reviews/data=!4m8!14m7!1m6!2m5!1sCi9DQUlRQUNvZENodHljRjlvT2s5YWMyWmtaV0ZoTjA1bVRqVTNTVXBOYkVGNVNGRRAB!2m1!1s0x0:0xa6b4b4e04ef9a98a!3m1!1s2@1:CAIQACodChtycF9oOk9ac2ZkZWFhN05mTjU3SUpNbEF5SFE%7C%7C?hl=en) — “5★ I cannot say enough positives about AJ Carpentery!
