A recent customer said they had run out more than once, in the dead of winter and again in late summer, and that AJ's came to the rescue each time, most recently within a couple of hours. The company describes itself as a family-owned business that has provided routine and emergency oil delivery around Portland, Falmouth and Westbrook for over 20 years, and its website names Portland, South Portland, Cape Elizabeth, Westbrook, Falmouth, Cumberland, Yarmouth, Scarborough, Gorham and Windham as its service area. A recent customer said the staff are good on the phone and that deliveries arrive when promised, and gave a shout-out to Melinda. A 2026 customer said they had been ordering for 3 years, that deliveries came within the delivery window and often days before the projected date, and that ordering online is easy. A 2025 customer said deliveries came in 1-2 days as promised, with ordering online or by phone. In a July 2026 r/portlandme Reddit thread, a poster wrote that they use AJ's Oil for delivery but not service, and that it has been good. **Strengths:** - Out-of-oil rescue — a recent customer got oil within a couple of hours - Early delivery — a 2026 customer said oil often came days early - Online ordering — a 2026 customer said ordering online is easy ## Claims & citations Every claim below is backed by real evidence rows — uncited claims are dropped in code before publication. - A recent customer said AJ's delivered within a couple of hours after they ran out of oil _(confidence: medium)_ - [Google Reviews](https://www.google.com/maps/reviews/data=!4m8!14m7!1m6!2m5!1sCi9DQUlRQUNvZENodHljRjlvT2tOMmJuVXRaVVUxUVVkbGRIUnNTVkpZWkZwa2FHYxAB!2m1!1s0x0:0xc41b239f9a845edf!3m1!1s2@1:CAIQACodChtycF9oOkN2bnUtZUU1QUdldHRsSVJYZFpkaGc%7C%7C?hl=en) — “5★ I am very appreciative of Aj’s Discount’s quick service.
