## The honest read

AK Garage Doors works on garage doors. Its website lists garage door repair, broken spring repair, opener repair and installation, new door installation, cable repair, panel replacement and tune-ups among its services. The company says it has been in business for 19 years and lists a service area that includes Framingham, Natick, Ashland, Sudbury and Wellesley.

A customer whose door was moving unevenly said the technician inspected the cable system and the door now moves more smoothly. A customer whose opener would stop for a moment before starting said the technician found the source of the problem, repaired it and tested the door repeatedly. A customer whose garage door suddenly stopped working said the work was completed the same day.

A customer who backed into the garage door said the technician repaired the bent panels and did not try to upsell anything. For garage door maintenance, a customer said the team inspected all parts, lubricated the system and tightened everything, and the door now runs more quietly.

**Strengths:**
- Same-day repair — a customer said the work was completed the same day
