The Waterbury company says it has been in business 9 years and lists Litchfield, New Haven, Fairfield, New London, Middlesex, Hartford, Tolland and Windham as its service area. The recent jobs are specific. A September 2026 customer said a DIY sump pump setup was replaced with a new system, its discharge routed underground, with the crew arriving at 9:00 AM and finishing by 2:30 PM. Another September 2026 review describes a new sump pump and foundation crack repairs done in one day, with Mario named as the lead. In August 2026, a customer said Mario and Dave handled a basement with many foundation cracks and a sump installation, and the water stopped. A January 2026 reviewer in Farmington said the company repaired three tie rod hole leaks and two foundation cracks and provided a lifetime warranty. The longer history runs the same way. In an April 2025 review, a customer said Dave and Mario reset a plumber's sump pump from 1 ft. to 3 ft. deep, then found a crack the customer had not known about; on a later visit they noticed a laundry-detergent smell in the crawl space that led to a main-drain problem. A March 2025 customer said the company did 3 different jobs and recommended cheaper fixes than the 4 other companies they looked at. Reviews from June 2025 and March 2025 describe garage floor coatings, and an August 2025 customer described a basement concrete floor coating. The company says it offers free estimates and 24/7 emergency service. Its Connecticut HIC licence, HIC.0672276, is active. The Better Business Bureau rates it an A. **Strengths:** - Sump pump installs — September 2026 job finished between 9:00 AM and 2:30 PM - Foundation crack repair — Farmington customer had leaks and cracks sealed in 2026 - Lifetime warranty — a January 2026 reviewer said it was provided ## Claims & citations Every claim below is backed by real evidence rows — uncited claims are dropped in code before publication. - Google rating of 5 stars from 44 ratings _(confidence: high)_ - [Google](https://www.google.com/maps/search/?api=1&query=Alpha%20Basement%20Waterproofing%20Connecticut&query_place_id=ChIJw_QVUCQo8Q8Rydt753fVNKM) — “Google: 5★ from 44 ratings” - Connecticut HIC licence HIC.0672276 is active _(confidence: high)_ - [State License Registry](https://www.elicense.ct.gov/Lookup/LicenseLookup.aspx) — “CT hic license HIC.0672276 registry-verified active — registry holder of record: ALPHA WATERPROOFING BASEMENT LLC” - Better Business Bureau grade of A _(confidence: high)_ - [Better Business Bureau](https://www.bbb.org/us/ct/waterbury/profile/basement-contractors/alpha-waterproofing-basement-llc-0111-110092436) — “Better Business Bureau grade: A” - Says it has been in business 9 years _(confidence: medium)_ - [Official Website](http://www.alpha-wb.com) — “Self-reported 9 years in business” - A September 2026 customer said a new sump pump system was installed with underground discharge between 9:00 AM and 2:30 PM _(confidence: high)_ - [Google Reviews](https://www.google.com/maps/reviews/data=!4m8!14m7!1m6!2m5!1sCi9DQUlRQUNvZENodHljRjlvT2paU2FXSkRjQzFIVGtOclNVTlVWRVJwWWxCbWNrRRAB!2m1!1s0x0:0xa334d577e77bdbc9!3m1!1s2@1:CAIQACodChtycF9oOjZSaWJDcC1HTkNrSUNUVERpYlBmckE%7C%7C?hl=en-US) — “5★ We couldn’t be happier with the work the guys at Alpha did for us!
