## The honest read

A ctinsider.com article describes Robert Boone, one of the owners of American Bio-Tech Wildlife Services in New Milford, as removing bats from people's homes for decades. The company says on its website it has 50 years in business, and it names Ridgefield, Norwalk, New Milford, Danbury, Fairfield, New Haven and Litchfield as its service area. On Google it holds 5 stars from 92 ratings, and its BBB grade is A+.

A recent customer said Brandon got a bat out of the house and did a diagnostic inspection to make sure no others could get in. A recent customer wrote that Dustin located a bat within minutes. A recent customer said Ray and Victor worked for many hours at the home to make sure the bats in the attic get out and don't get back in. A recent customer said 8 raccoons were trapped and released. A recent customer said Dylan looked at an opening in the siding that another company had blamed on bats, told them it was natural wear for the siding company to fix, and that they saved $1,000.

In 2025, a customer with a nearly 100-year-old home said Brandon spent the entire day crawling around the foundation, sealing openings against mice with hardware cloth and caulk, after several pest control companies said it could not be done. A 2025 customer said Dustin humanely trapped six woodchucks on their Stamford property in one week. A 2024 customer said Dustin caught a mother squirrel and five "sub-adults" humanely, then sealed the hole and reinforced multiple roof sites. A 2024 customer said Darren repaired woodpecker damage to the house over multiple visits.

A 2016 customer on Angi said no one met them in person even though they took time off, the trap was closed for a weekend, and they stopped before the week finished for fear of being charged for another week, still having the problem.

**Strengths:**
- Bat removal — a recent customer said Brandon got a bat out quickly
- Foundation sealing — a 2025 customer said an old home was sealed against mice
- Woodchuck trapping — a 2025 customer said six were trapped in one week

**Concerns:**
- A missed meeting — a 2016 customer said no one knocked on the door
