Its website names Dover as a service area. A 2025 Google customer said George Trojan Junior, who owns the company, installed cabinets they had bought from dovetail cabinets in Portsmouth, NH, scribing them to the floor so no trim was needed at the bottom. That customer said the home was built in the 1800s and nothing was square. The same 2025 customer said George also installed doors on a laundry room and did tile work in a bathroom, after they did the kitchen tear-out and electrical work themselves. A 2021 Google customer said they renovated their kitchen with George and that he worked through each unexpected moment that came up in the project. In a 2013 Angi review, a customer described a project of several months and said George was on the job daily as the organizer and project manager, suggesting design changes while staying true to the style of the house. In a 2012 Angi review, a customer said George, the owner, did much of the work himself and was on site every day. That 2012 customer said the price grew as the work went on, for reasons that made sense, and that his quotes, invoices and change-order documents were well organized. Their one criticism in 2012 was that George sometimes should have told them bad news bluntly; they wrote that had he asked for a few more days instead of rushing to meet their deadline, their move-in might have been smoother. Google shows 5 stars from 12 ratings, and the Better Business Bureau gives the company an A+ grade. **Strengths:** - Cabinet installation — a 2025 customer said cabinets were scribed to the floor - Owner on site — a 2012 customer said George was there every day - Organized paperwork — a 2012 customer called quotes and change orders well organized **Concerns:** - A rushed finish — a 2012 customer said more days might have smoothed move-in ## Claims & citations Every claim below is backed by real evidence rows — uncited claims are dropped in code before publication. - Describes itself as a New Hampshire based remodeling construction company _(confidence: medium)_ - [Angi](https://www.angi.com/companylist/us/nh/lee/american-building-and-design-reviews-6179412.htm) — “About (Angi, self-described): American Building & Design is a New Hampshire based remodeling construction company that has been building ext…” - Says on its website it has over 30 years in business in remodeling, renovation and cabinetmaking _(confidence: medium)_ - [Official Website](http://americanbuildinganddesign.com) — “About (self-reported, verbatim): American Building & Design, LLC is a skilled remodeling company with over 30 years in business, offering ex…” - A 2025 customer said owner George Trojan Junior installed cabinets scribed to the floor in an 1800s home _(confidence: high)_ - [Google Reviews](https://www.google.com/maps/reviews/data=!4m8!14m7!1m6!2m5!1sChdDSUhNMG9nS0VJQ0FnTURvaXUyZHFRRRAB!2m1!1s0x0:0xb95a6ad3b21d074d!3m1!1s2@1:CIHM0ogKEICAgMDoiu2dqQE%7C%7C?hl=en-US) — “5★ I purchased my cabinets from dovetail cabinets in Portsmouth, NH.
