## The honest read

In a December 2023 HomeAdvisor review, a customer wrote that Ramon Rodriguez was the supervisor who oversaw the entire process and that the crew did the roof in a day. American Empire General Contracting is a Burlington, Vermont roofer whose HomeAdvisor and Angi profile shows 4.6 stars from 24 ratings; its one Google rating is a single star.

In January 2025 a customer reported some communication problems on site but said the crew did a great job, called them hard workers, and called the owner's follow-up superb. A February 2025 customer wrote simply "Clean and effective."

In a June 2020 HomeAdvisor review, a customer gave an A+ to Snow Country Roofing after the roofing team arrived at 6:45 and finished by 11:45 am, laying down protective tarps. In a May 2020 review a customer said Tonya and Brian of Snow Country were a pleasure to deal with.

In April 2021 a customer gave one star, calling the contractor "blatantly disrespectful, untrustworthy and frankly incompetent" and describing interactions with Brian. In May 2019 a one-star customer said the company's website listed a Home Advisor award, a high Better Business Bureau rating and an Angie's List Super Service award, and that none of those awards were accurate when the customer checked with each organization; the small job took 3 people 4 hours.

**Strengths:**
- One-day roof — Ramon Rodriguez supervised a December 2023 job
- Owner follow-up — called superb by a January 2025 customer

**Concerns:**
- Site communication — problems reported by a January 2025 customer
- Award claims — May 2019 customer found website award logos inaccurate
- Conduct — April 2021 one-star complaint about dealings with Brian

**Where sources disagree:**
- The HomeAdvisor and Angi profile carries reviews from 2019–2021 that name Snow Country Roofing rather than American Empire General Contracting.
