More than 1,000 Google ratings average 4.8 for Aspinwall Baystate Plumbing, Heating, Air Conditioning, and the jobs behind them are mostly the ones that can't wait: a water heater flooding a basement, a burst fitting, a heating system that quit. The Weymouth company says it has been in business for 54 years, and its stated service area runs from Quincy and Braintree down through Hingham, Cohasset, Duxbury and Marshfield. Its BBB page is an A+, and it is BBB-accredited.

Longtime customers are a real part of the story. One Google reviewer wrote in August 2026 that Aspinwall had been their plumbing company for 35 years across four homes, from Back Bay to a retirement home in Scituate, and had just replaced their air conditioning system a year after replacing their furnace. In January 2026 a homeowner whose water heater gave out on a Sunday, with water flooding the basement, said a technician named John came right out, pumped out the old tank and put in a new unit. In December 2025 another had a technician diagnose a failed water heater the same day and a replacement installed less than 24 hours later. Recent reviews often name the tech: Frank, Jake, Falcon and Kevin come up for finding the problem quickly and explaining it, and one July 2026 customer with an emergency said the crew was there within the hour.

Price is where the complaints cluster. In August 2026 a customer said they were quoted $199 over the phone to install a washing machine shut-off valve and then billed $1,099; the company told them it had a recording of the call showing they agreed to that price. In April 2026 another was told a job would take four hours at a $450-an-hour crew rate, then received a $4,600 quote.
