## The honest read

Avalon Exteriors LLC says on its website it has been in business 27 years, and it lists a service area of 15 towns including New Milford, New Fairfield, Danbury, Ridgefield, Newtown and Litchfield. Its BBB profile, in the company's own words, lists vinyl siding, windows, doors, shutters and roofing. Google shows 4.6 stars from 11 ratings, and its BBB grade is A+.

A 2025 Google customer said Gary and his crew put on new siding, a roof, windows and doors, and that they cleaned up all around the house after the job was finished. A 2023 Google customer called Gary honest and professional.

A 2026 Google customer said major repairs to their home went wrong immediately, with tens of thousands of dollars of water damage they blamed on negligence on Avalon's part. That 2026 customer said the end result did not resemble the agreed work, citing wrong colors, cheap materials and poor workmanship, and that the job went weeks over time and over budget. That 2026 customer also said 20 foot trees were snapped in half by falling equipment and construction materials, and that after fixing some of the damage to the house, Avalon wanted more money.
