## The honest read

Baribault Fuel is an Oakville heating company that describes itself as a provider of home heating fuel, propane, diesel, furnace and HVAC installation and maintenance services for almost a century.

A recent customer wrote about a propane gas line and stove installation, saying Reno, the technician, minimized drilling into the cabinetry and returned the next day to complete the installation despite a major cold snap. A 2025 customer who woke up with no heat said John had a tech out within an hour and the problem was quickly resolved. A 2025 customer renting a property to a relative said Reno diagnosed a no-heat problem, got heat working, and returned a few days later with new parts.

A 2024 customer said the company came out within a couple hours and fixed a furnace that was giving no hot water. A 2024 customer replacing a furnace said Tara laid out several options, and that John, the Director of Operations, visited at the beginning and end of the process. A 2024 customer of six years said they had a new boiler installed.

A 2026 customer who had ordered oil from the company for years said the woman answering the phone hung up on them after they mentioned shopping around for prices, and later said they were no longer customers. A 2025 customer living in a separate building at the back of a property said 72 gallons of their oil went into a neighbor's tank; in an update, that customer said the company called and gave them a check for the oil.

**Strengths:**
- Fast no-heat visit — a 2025 customer said a tech came within an hour
- Furnace replacement guidance — a 2024 customer said Tara laid out several options
- Careful propane line install — a recent customer said drilling into cabinets was minimized

**Concerns:**
- Phone treatment — a 2026 oil customer said the woman answering hung up
- Delivery mix-up — a 2025 customer said oil went into a neighbor's tank
