## The honest read

Baybrook Remodelers Inc is a remodeling company that says it has been in business 34 years and works throughout the state of Connecticut. It holds an A+ grade from the Better Business Bureau and a 4.5-star Google rating from 114 ratings. Its Massachusetts home improvement contractor registration and its Rhode Island home improvement licence are both active on the state registry.

A recent customer said Jose and Bob installed windows at their home and kept them informed throughout the project. A recent customer who wanted a Trex deck, a larger staircase, new railings and concrete stairs to a lower deck said Baybrook's crew showed up on time every day. A recent customer who had a patio built and a gazebo added said Ken, the owner, came to the house to make sure they were satisfied before the work started. A recent condo owner said all the windows were replaced, naming Jose as salesperson, Carl as project manager and Bob as head crewman, and said they made sure the customer's cat did not escape.

A 2026 customer said hardwood floors in the living room and hall were refinished on time with no mess. A 2025 customer met Bill Zaks at a home show in Bridgeport, had the kitchen designed by Mark Drew, and said project manager Terry Bower came out after completion to resolve water getting to the dishwasher. A 2025 reviewer said Adam Wallace and his team installed a new kitchen and bathroom, added wood flooring throughout, painted every room and built custom millwork in the living room. In a 2019 BuildZoom review, a customer whose house was destroyed in a tornado said Baybrook finished rebuilding it by the insurer's six-month deadline.

A 2026 customer whose kitchen and dining room were redone in 2021 said the flooring and cabinets had worn unevenly, and that the floor was damaged from the initial plumber's faulty work at the sink. A 2024 customer reported a lack of communication, wrong items ordered and reluctance to repair minor damage from the installation. A 2023 reviewer said Ken never returned calls or stood by his work. A ctpost.com article quotes a sign reading "I do not recommend Baybrook Remodelers," and another sign alleging a number of lawsuits against the firm.
