## The honest read

BCB Moving Labor Services is a Malden, MA moving company built around careful handling of the fiddly parts of a move — getting an oversized dresser up three flights or squeezing a couch around a tight stairwell landing. The company, run by owner Mbiti Jean Pierre, has been operating since 2013 and carries an A+ rating with the Better Business Bureau, though it isn't BBB-accredited.

The written record runs mostly 2015–2016 on Angi, where it holds 4.8 stars from 50 ratings (86% five-star), alongside a newer run of Google reviews from 2022 to 2024 averaging 4.4 from 19 ratings. Across both, the same details recur: crews show up on time, work through a job without long breaks, and handle awkward furniture with care — in a 2015 review, movers dismantled and moved a customer's king bed down three flights of stairs, and another credited the crew with getting a "very tricky piece of furniture" up a narrow staircase. Several customers came back for repeat moves rather than shopping around again.

Not every account is spotless. In a 2015 review, one customer said the truck sent was too small and items had to be squeezed in; another said a third mover they'd paid extra for left the job after less than an hour, with the office citing a miscommunication about which package had been purchased.

Worth asking about before booking: BCB's own Angi profile advertises "20 years of experience," which doesn't line up with the BBB's 2013 formation date — worth a direct question if longevity matters to you. For a local or long-distance move where careful furniture handling matters more than rock-bottom price, the reviews point to a crew that shows up and gets it done; just confirm truck size and crew headcount before moving day.

**Strengths:**
- Tight spaces — navigated narrow staircases with bulky furniture safely
- Punctual crews — reviewers repeatedly note on-time, efficient work
- Repeat customers — some clients have booked them for 3+ moves

**Concerns:**
- Truck sizing — a 2015 review said the truck sent ran small
- Staffing mix-up — a 2015 customer's paid extra mover left early

**Where sources disagree:**
- Angi's profile advertises "20 years of experience," but BBB records the LLC forming in 2013 — about 12 years
