Last 6 months: 7 reviews, 1 negative. ## The honest read A 2022 customer said Belknap Landscape spent 9 months, from September to June, on a lakefront project that needed detailed planning and pre-approval by DES, and that the company was true to its word on timing and cost. That 2022 customer said Hayden oversaw the project and the crew was on-site through the winter to finish by summer. Belknap Landscape is based in Gilford, describes itself on its website as 38 years in business, and names a service area running from Alton and Barnstead to Moultonborough and Tuftonboro. A 2024 customer said their drainage system needed to be rebuilt after a flood, and that Hayden knew drainage well and consulted with them about options. A 2024 customer said Julie Campbell designed their landscape project and TJ and his crew put in a new drainage system that solved a muddy puddle in the driveway. A 2025 customer said Belknap built a stone wall and split rail fence and lined their driveway with cobblestones. A 2025 customer wanted natural plantings in a shady area where the soil was sand and rock; that 2025 customer said Hayden and his crew brought new soil and plants and finished on time before a family event. A 2024 customer said the ArborTech/Belknap team opened up an overgrown grove with tree trimming and removed a dying oak. Tree treatment is current work: one customer says Belknap treated infested hemlock trees and arrived when promised, and a customer says their trees have improved since Belknap started treating them in the spring and fall. A 2025 customer said Belknap has serviced their sprinkler system for over 2 years, reaching out to schedule the spring turn-on and fall shut down. A customer gave a 3-star review after a rescheduled meeting with Hayden, then updated it to say Jeff called to make things right and provided a list of recommended landscapers and hardscapers for the project. A 2022 customer said it took almost a week to get a call back saying the company could not do the job at that time. **Strengths:** - A long lakefront project — a 2022 customer said it was on time and cost - Flood drainage rebuild — a 2024 customer said Hayden consulted on options - A stone wall — a 2025 customer said Belknap also lined the driveway with cobblestones - Sprinkler service — a 2025 customer said Belknap schedules spring turn-on and shut down - Tree treatment — a customer says Belknap arrived when promised for hemlocks **Concerns:** - A slow callback — a 2022 customer said it took almost a week - A rescheduled meeting — a customer gave 3 stars before Jeff called back ## Claims & citations Every claim below is backed by real evidence rows — uncited claims are dropped in code before publication. - 4.7 stars from 148 Google ratings; BBB grade A+ _(confidence: high)_ - [Google](https://www.google.com/maps/search/?api=1&query=Belknap%20Landscape%20LLC&query_place_id=ChIJQ_vsCvUzs0wR3hbo_PPuzhU) — “Google: 4.7★ from 148 ratings” - [Better Business Bureau](https://www.bbb.org/us/nh/gilford/profile/landscape-contractors/belknap-landscape-llc-0051-6000160) — “Better Business Bureau grade: A+” - A 2022 lakefront project with DES pre-approval took 9 months and was true to its timing and cost _(confidence: high)_ - [Google Reviews](https://www.google.com/maps/reviews/data=!4m8!14m7!1m6!2m5!1sChdDSUhNMG9nS0VJQ0FnSUN1bl9iY3BnRRAB!2m1!1s0x0:0x15ceeef3fce816de!3m1!1s2@1:CIHM0ogKEICAgICun_bcpgE%7C%7C?hl=en-US) — “5★ I would like to thank Belknap for the outstanding landscape project completed.
