The company says it has been in business 40 years and that callers always reach a live person, with an answering service after regular business hours. A 2025 customer who has lived in Bristol for 7 to 8 years said Berkshire was the first oil company they called and praised Teresa and Brenda for support and delivery. A 2026 customer gave a shout out to Brenda in the office and Mark on the road. In a 2025 review, a customer said the oil companies they called during the cold days all had a wait time of several days, and they chose Berkshire because of the price and service. A 2025 customer in Bristol said an oil order placed at the beginning of the month went unfilled because the company was running almost 2 weeks out, that the advertised emergency service had its time slots booked, and that the woman on the phone was rude; that customer then got oil from another company. A 2025 customer who ordered oil on a Thursday and needed a restart, with the temperature at 10 degrees, said the office would not deliver until Tuesday of the following week because they would not be out that way. That 2025 customer called it the second time they had dealt with no-shows, and said they ran out of oil the first time. **Strengths:** - Office and road staff — a 2026 customer thanked Brenda and Mark by name - Price and service — a 2025 customer chose Berkshire for both in cold weather **Concerns:** - Long delivery waits — a 2025 customer was told the company ran almost two weeks out - Phone manner — a 2025 customer called the woman on the phone rude ## Claims & citations Every claim below is backed by real evidence rows — uncited claims are dropped in code before publication. - Says it serves Avon, Bristol, Berlin, Burlington, Farmington, New Britain, Newington, Plainville, Southington, Wolcott and Kensington _(confidence: medium)_ - [Official Website](http://berkshireoilinc.com) — “Stated service area (self-reported): Avon, Bristol, Berlin, Burlington, Farmington, New Britain, Newington, Plainville, Southington, Wolcott…” - A 2025 Bristol customer praised Teresa and Brenda for support and delivery _(confidence: medium)_ - [Google Reviews](https://www.google.com/maps/reviews/data=!4m8!14m7!1m6!2m5!1sChZDSUhNMG9nS0VJQ0FnTURBOHAyZUVnEAE!2m1!1s0x0:0x9e83cfbf519fe257!3m1!1s2@1:CIHM0ogKEICAgMDA8p2eEg%7C%7C?hl=en-US) — “5★ I have been a resident of bristol now for 7 to 8 years the first oil company i ended up calling was Berkshire from day 1 Teresa and Brend…” - A 2025 customer chose Berkshire for its price and service during a cold stretch _(confidence: medium)_ - [Google Reviews](https://www.google.com/maps/reviews/data=!4m8!14m7!1m6!2m5!1sChZDSUhNMG9nS0VJQ0FnSUNJMWFhNVBREAE!2m1!1s0x0:0x9e83cfbf519fe257!3m1!1s2@1:CIHM0ogKEICAgICI1aa5PQ%7C%7C?hl=en-US) — “5★ I've called several oil companies recently, during those really cold days.
