## The honest read

Betor roofing holds a 5.0-star average across 35 ratings on Angi. On its Angi profile, the company says it has five employees who have been with it for more than 15 years and offers a labor warranty on pitched and flat roofs.

A 2014 customer who bought a roof tune-up said they sealed gaps in the flashing and nail heads, found a large hole in a gasket and were able to repair it that day. A 2014 customer with a dryer vent problem in the roof said it was diagnosed and fixed along with two other holes in the roof they found. A 2016 customer wrote that "he went up there with a cell phone and took pictures and showed us the damage," and said they worked the whole day. A 2016 customer said they were timely with the information for the insurance company and was later hired again to install a gutter. A 2017 customer described "quality work at a reasonable price" and recommended them for carpentry work.

A 2014 customer described the owner, Ben, and his crew as punctual and hard working. Price was the downside for a 2014 customer: Ben's quote was the highest of three bids and about 10% above the middle one, though that customer said the roof had no problems after four months. A 2014 customer said communication could have been a bit better.

Connecticut lists its home improvement contractor registration, HIC.0561632, held by BETOR ROOFING & CARPENTRY, as inactive due to non-renewal of the credential.

**Strengths:**
- A same-day gasket repair — a 2014 customer said it was fixed that day
- Insurance paperwork — a 2016 customer said they were timely with insurer information
- A dryer vent fix — a 2014 customer said it was diagnosed and fixed

**Concerns:**
- Highest of three bids — a 2014 customer said Ben's quote was the highest
- Communication could improve — a 2014 customer said it could have been better
