## The honest read

Blacklough Construction is an East Weymouth design-build firm handling whole-house remodels, new construction, historical restoration, and kitchen and bath renovations, covering the process from pre-construction estimating through the certificate of occupancy. The company says it's been building since 2000.

There isn't a customer review history here yet — Google shows a single 5-star rating and nothing more. What is documented is a professional partnership: a 2026 Northshore Magazine piece on an award-winning, 35-year Ipswich design firm notes that in 2025 the firm partnered with Blacklough Construction on a full home renovation.

With so little independent feedback on file, ask for references from a project similar to what you're planning before hiring.

**Strengths:**
- Design-build firm — whole-house remodels through historical restoration
- Notable partnership — 2025 full renovation with an award-winning design firm
