A 2026 customer said they hired the company to paint much of their first floor after a detailed estimate and an extensive in-home consultation, and that the work did not match the preparation process or approach described in the proposal. That 2026 customer said Bob was never on site during the more than 2-week project, and that they repeatedly found drips, roller marks, missed coverage, incomplete second coats and paint on fixtures, floors and door frames. The same 2026 customer said mismatched paint was used on the kitchen and entryway ceilings, that they had to hire someone else to repaint, and that Bob has not responded to their write-up and pictures. A 2023 customer who had gotten several estimates for the interior of their home said Bob's pricing was fair and reasonable, and said the foreman, Andie, paid careful attention to detail. A 2022 customer said Bob Peters and his crew re-painted their cottage, called the pricing fair, and named the option of carpentry support as a bonus. A 2022 customer with a two-story house said the company did exterior painting and carpentry work, and that the foreman, Eric, and his crew did the power-washing and painting. A 2021 customer said Bob's crew did exterior painting and minor repairs to trim and wood shingles during a very hot stretch of summer weather, working around the worst of the heat and staying on time. A 2018 customer said their house had previously been stained and was in disrepair, that Bob's carpenter replaced a number of boards, and that the job was done quickly and under budget. The Better Business Bureau gives the company an A+ grade. **Strengths:** - Fair pricing — a 2021 customer called the price fair and reasonable - Work in summer heat — a 2021 customer said Bob's crew stayed on time - Board replacement — a 2018 customer said Bob's carpenter replaced boards **Concerns:** - A first-floor paint job — a 2026 customer reported drips, roller marks and missed coverage - Site visits — a 2026 customer said Bob was never on site - An unanswered write-up — a 2026 customer said Bob has not responded ## Claims & citations Every claim below is backed by real evidence rows — uncited claims are dropped in code before publication. - A 2026 customer reported drips, roller marks, missed coverage and incomplete second coats on a first-floor paint job _(confidence: medium)_ - [Angi](https://www.angi.com/companylist/us/ma/amherst/bob-peters-painting-reviews-1.htm) — “We hired Bob Peter's to paint much of our 1st floor after a detailed estimate and an extensive in-home consultation.
