Bosse Heating & Air Conditioning says it brings over 50 years of combined HVAC technical experience to homeowners in Southington, CT and the surrounding towns, and its website lists Bristol, Cheshire, Plainville and Meriden in its service area. On Google it holds 4.8 stars from 46 ratings, and its Better Business Bureau grade is A+. A recent customer called Ryan a very thorough technician and the price very reasonable. A 2026 customer who needed a boiler replacement, a broken pipe repaired and the house switched from one zone to two said Tom's quote was less than they had expected, and that Tom's son came out with his team to do the work. A 2026 customer said Tom and his crew installed a tankless water heater, and that Tom, his son and the rest of the employees responded 5/6 times trying to figure out an earlier water heater and a/c issue. A 2025 customer said Bosse replaced a 26-year-old oil boiler furnace, with pricing that was the lowest of 5 estimates. A 2025 customer said Bosse came the same day after a hot water heater quit and got the unit working again. In a 2024 review, a customer whose boiler went down during the coldest days of the season said another company could do nothing for 5 to 7 days, while Bosse came out within a couple of hours and fixed the boiler. That 2024 customer said the fix was temporary because of the boiler's age, and that Bosse later installed a new boiler and fixed a leaky basement valve at no cost. A 2023 customer whose oil burner stopped working on a Sunday said Nicole called back at 8 am Monday and fit them into that day's schedule, and Brian diagnosed the issue and got the heat on. A 2023 customer who had used Bosse for two years of oil furnace cleaning said that after the last cleaning the first floor was not calling heat, and that when they called, the receptionist refused to take ownership of the problem and hung up. It holds an active Connecticut S1 heating and cooling contractor licence, HTG.0388408-S1, under Thomas D Bosse Sr. **Strengths:** - Central air diagnosis — a recent customer said a broken $200 part was found - A boiler replacement — a 2025 customer said the price was lowest of five - Emergency boiler fix — a 2024 customer said they came within a couple of hours - Same-day water heater fix — a 2025 customer said they got it working again **Concerns:** - Follow-up after a cleaning — a 2023 customer said the receptionist refused ownership and hung up ## Claims & citations Every claim below is backed by real evidence rows — uncited claims are dropped in code before publication. - 4.8 stars from 46 Google ratings _(confidence: high)_ - [Google](https://www.google.com/maps/search/?api=1&query=Bosse%20Heating%20%26%20Air%20Conditioning%20LLC.&query_place_id=ChIJay6FMI2354kRZXR_r8S4WFU) — “Google: 4.8★ from 46 ratings” - Better Business Bureau grade of A+ _(confidence: high)_ - [Better Business Bureau](https://www.bbb.org/us/ct/plantsville/profile/heating-and-air-conditioning/bosse-heating-air-conditioning-llc-0111-33000691) — “Better Business Bureau grade: A+” - Says it brings over 50 years of combined HVAC technical experience to homeowners in Southington, CT and the surrounding towns _(confidence: medium)_ - [Official Website](http://www.bosseheating.com) — “About (self-reported, verbatim): Bosse Heating & Air Conditioning LLC brings over 50 years of combined HVAC technical experience to homeowne…” - A recent customer said Bosse troubleshot the whole central air system and found a broken $200 part _(confidence: high)_ - [Google Reviews](https://www.google.com/maps/reviews/data=!4m8!14m7!1m6!2m5!1sCi9DQUlRQUNvZENodHljRjlvT2psSmVWTkNlVWxOV0U1b1JFSlFjblZDTkVwaFQyYxAB!2m1!1s0x0:0x5558b8c4af7f7465!3m1!1s2@1:CAIQACodChtycF9oOjlJeVNCeUlNWE5oREJQcnVCNEphT2c%7C%7C?hl=en-US) — “5★ I was impressed that Bosse took the time to troubleshoot my entire central air system before they suggested a resolution.
