## The honest read

Boston Outdoor Living is a Charlton hardscape business. Its website lists patios and walkways, pool patio design and installation, outdoor kitchens, firepits and fireplaces, retaining walls and steps, stone veneer, landscape lighting, and excavation and drainage. Its Massachusetts home improvement contractor license is active on the state registry.

In a recent review, a customer says the team leveled their backyard and installed a patio with boulder retaining walls. Another recent customer describes a patio project where no detail was overlooked from planning to finish work, and says the team was prompt and professional.

In a 2026 review, a customer said the crew freshened up their fireplace and cleaned up after themselves every day. In a 2025 review, a customer said Brandon and his team demo'd and rebuilt their in-laws' front walkway. A 2025 review said the company installed a cobblestone path and apron around the customer's new shed/workshop. In another 2025 review, a customer said Boston Outdoor Living replaced their deck with an additional room and that AJ kept them informed every step of the way. A 2025 reviewer with a home in Wakefield said AJ suggested a nickel gap accent wall and helped them pick a gas fireplace and stone. A 2025 review of a patio and gazebo project said the job fell within their budget and was done ahead of schedule.

In a 2024 review, a customer said a repair and renovation of their patio and front walkway, using only the original material, left both looking brand new. A 2024 reviewer said the company built a pavilion and grill enclosure and started and ended when it said it would. Another 2024 review said the company turned the customer's backyard into a space with a fire pit, patio and sitting wall, and refurbished the front yard with a fresh stone wall and new landscaping.

**Strengths:**
- Patios and retaining walls — a leveled backyard with boulder walls, recent review
- Walkways — a front walkway demo'd and rebuilt, per a 2025 review
- Budget and schedule — patio and gazebo done ahead of schedule, 2025 review
