## The honest read

Brian McKeon Painting prepped and painted the entire exterior of a circa 1830 house covered in lead paint, a recent customer said, adding that he didn't leave a paint chip anywhere and was careful working in the flower garden. That customer described him as "a certified EPA lead safe trained local contractor." A recent customer said Brian communicated quickly and effectively.

A 2025 customer who needed all their ceilings painted on a quick turnaround said Brian accommodated them without hesitation. A 2025 customer said he came to paint their ceilings, ended up doing other jobs for them, and asked to come back to put another coat on a door after noticing it needed it. A 2023 customer said he matched the popcorn on a ceiling and did the mudding around a new wall, then painted the walls and woodwork. A 2023 customer said he repaired and painted their ceilings.

A 2024 customer referred by their electrician said his quote was not the least expensive, but that Brian and his partner Justin moved everything so there was minimal disruption when the customer got home from work. A 2024 customer getting a house ready for the market said his work went beyond painting projects and got it done on short notice. A 2024 customer said he got a crew together on his day off, drove an hour plus and put in a fence in the rain for the reviewer's mother.

A 2023 customer said this was the second time he had painted their house, and that he was flexible when they added to the scope. A 2023 customer under a time constraint said he worked late to finish the job. A 2023 customer said they had him do several indoor painting jobs and hired him again.

**Strengths:**
- Lead-paint exterior — a recent customer said no paint chip was left anywhere
- A quick ceiling job — a 2025 customer got all ceilings painted on short turnaround
- A repeat house painting — a 2023 customer said he painted their house twice
- Furniture moved — a 2024 customer said everything was moved for minimal disruption

**Concerns:**
- Higher quote — a 2024 customer said his quote was not the least expensive
