## The honest read

Bright Cleaning Services is a house-cleaning company that says it has been in business for 37 years, with a stated service area that includes Avon, Bristol, Farmington, Hartford and Middletown. Its BBB grade is A+.

A recent customer wrote that Isabella and "the other young lady" did the first cleaning, and recommended them for helping someone stay in their own home. A 2023 customer from Middletown said two women did a post-construction cleaning of the entire home after all floors and subfloors were replaced and everything, walls included, was covered with dust. A 2023 customer said two employees worked six hours straight on a deep clean of the home. A 2023 customer said they showed up the very next day after a last-minute surgical procedure, and that one cleaner got on a step ladder to dust a vaulted ceiling and its ceiling fan. A 2022 customer said the staff were patient with an elderly father with dementia while cleaning his house. A 2024 customer said the floors had not been this shiny since they were installed after a first spring cleaning.

A 2025 customer gave one star after paying for a construction cleaning, calling it the worst cleaning they had seen. A 2022 customer said the bathrooms and wood floors were done well, but the kitchen and mud room floors were not cleaned or mopped and some doors were missed. A 2022 customer said they showed up 30 minutes late, one worker walked around the house with bare feet, and the floors had dirty footprints after mopping. A 2022 customer wrote that the owner "quotes one amount and then she charges other amount." A 2019 customer said the last full cleaning left many areas uncleaned and that a driveway camera caught one of the cleaners smoking in the driveway without permission.

**Strengths:**
- Post-construction cleaning — a 2023 customer said two women cleaned a dusty home
- A next-day visit — a 2023 customer said they came after surgery
- Patience with elders — a 2022 customer described care around a father with dementia

**Concerns:**
- Quote versus charge — a 2022 customer said the owner charged another amount
- Skipped floors — a 2022 customer said kitchen and mud room weren't mopped
- A construction cleaning — a 2025 customer gave it one star
- A late arrival — a 2022 customer said they came 30 minutes late
