## The honest read

Roofs are the main event at C & J Construction & Roofing. On its website the company says it offers roofing, gutter, skylight, roof snow and ice dam removal services, and it claims over 20 years of industry expertise.

A recent Google customer said Chris and his team replaced their roof and skylights, and that Chris laid out all the options from the start and kept clear communication throughout. One customer's recent job covered replacing a leaky roof, sealing a sunroof and venting bathroom fans, with frequent updates along the way. A customer who had a roof replacement said Chris explained the job, materials, warranties and expectations, that they cleaned up well, and that the price was fair compared to other quotes they received.

In the 2025–26 winter snow, a customer said he fit them into his busy schedule and saved their carport from collapsing. In 2025, a Reddit commenter in r/RhodeIsland said C&J did work on their garage and shed that summer and called the company very responsive and fair priced.

A recent one-star Google review called it "Overpriced!"

Rhode Island lists its home improvement registration, GC-34638, as active, held by C & J Construction & Roofing LLC.

**Strengths:**
- A roof replacement — a recent customer said all options were explained upfront
