## The honest read

What people hire Cristina DePina for is the deciding, not the demolition. Her Worcester studio plans kitchen and bathroom renovations and supplies the cabinetry — it is an authorized dealer for Showplace and Fabuwood — and her site states she is NCIDQ-certified and a CKBD Certified Kitchen and Bath Designer through the NKBA, with Houzz listing the NCIDQ credential as well. Her name also turns up in kitchen-and-bath trade listings, including a November 2024 kitchenbathdesign.com item and an NKBA page.

The Google reviews, 11 ratings at a 5-star average, describe that role in practice. A homeowner writing in June 2025 said she guided them from furniture selection and design through to the final setup while they reset the house around a new chapter in life. Another customer the same week brought her onto a new-construction lake house in Maine and valued that she pushed her own input while still letting the owners' taste come through. A November 2022 customer had her work out the floor plan, choose the colors and order the cabinets for a renovation.

One account comes from the trade rather than from a homeowner: a collaborator wrote in November 2023 that her attention to detail and organization are what keep a remodel running smoothly, which is a useful thing to hear from someone who has been on several of her projects.

The tenure figures do not agree. The company's own site claims 20 years in business, after DePina spent years on hospitality spaces, model homes and residential renovations around the country before bringing that work back to Massachusetts, while Houzz dates the Worcester studio to 2019.

This is the right call if you want a kitchen or bath resolved on paper first — layout, cabinet specification, lighting, finishes — before anyone starts opening walls. Ask who holds the construction contract and does the installation, since what is described here is the design and the cabinetry, and ask what the dealer pricing on Showplace or Fabuwood covers.

**Strengths:**
- Design credentials — NCIDQ and CKBD listed on Houzz and her site
- Decision guidance — customers cite help from layout to final setup
- Cabinet dealer — authorized for the Showplace and Fabuwood lines
- Trade endorsement — a collaborator cites organization across several remodels

**Concerns:**
- Tenure claims differ — site says 20 years, Houzz dates studio to 2019
- Design-led scope — plans and cabinetry; confirm who installs

**Where sources disagree:**
- The company's website states 20 years in business, while the Houzz profile lists the Worcester studio as serving Worcester and MetroWest since 2019.
