## The honest read

Carlos Cadena Fence builds fences, and its website lists installation, repair, painting and power washing across vinyl, wood and aluminum fencing, plus deck and patio handrails. The company says it has been in business 10 years, and its stated service area runs from Stamford and Greenwich to Bridgeport, Trumbull, Monroe and Easton.

A recent customer said Carlos was quick to quote, came back with a competitive price, scheduled in a reasonable time during his busy season and came on time. A recent customer called the fence installation fast and easy to work with.

A 2026 customer whose "privacy trees" were dying said Carlos installed a new fence within 2 days to keep the dog from running away. A 2026 customer said they met the owner, Carlos, and that he is bilingual. A 2025 customer said Carlos kept in touch every step of the way, gave a couple of options and was upfront about the pricing. A 2025 customer said they called Carlos back a week later for an addition to the fence. A 2025 customer wrote in Spanish that Carlos offers guaranteed work done in the agreed time.

A 2024 customer said their fence had fallen three times, that spikes promised for the rocky ground were not used, and that the posts were cut too short. That 2024 customer also said one man in an unmarked van installed the entire fence by himself after a team was promised.

Connecticut lists its home improvement contractor registration, HIC.0665532, as expired, held by Carlos Cadena Fence LLC.

**Strengths:**
- A quick quote — a recent customer said Carlos quoted fast at a competitive price
- A 2-day install — a 2026 customer said Carlos installed their fence within 2 days
- Upfront pricing — a 2025 customer said Carlos was upfront about pricing

**Concerns:**
- Fence post depth — a 2024 customer said posts were cut too short
- Crew size — a 2024 customer said one man installed the whole fence

**Where sources disagree:**
- A 2024 one-star review ties the company to Bridgeport Fence, while a 2024 five-star review says Carlos never worked for Bridgeport Fence.
