## The honest read

Carpentry and Handyman Concepts describes its work as running "from kitchen remodels to quick handyman fixes," and the company says it has been in business 30 years. It names Norwalk, Westport, New Canaan, Darien, Wilton and Fairfield as its service area. On Google it holds 4.9 stars from 49 ratings, and its BBB page shows an A+ grade.

A recent customer said Dave and his team repaired kitchen counters, replaced damaged gutters and built a wall where a pocket door was, and called the pricing very fair. A 2025 customer said they hired Dave and his team to frame and sheetrock a basement, and that they arrived on time. A 2025 reviewer described a bathroom redo with straight grout lines, a quiet fan and a level vanity.

A 2022 customer said David Grecco handled the permit process for a teardown and rebuild of a back deck, and that they walked out onto the new deck within 3 days after teardown. A 2023 customer described changing an old closet from sliding wood doors to standard closet doors, work that took about 9-10 hours over two days. A 2024 customer who needed rotted exterior trim removed and a deck railing repaired said Dave was the only carpenter to identify an inconsistency in the previous construction. A 2022 customer hired David Grecco to design and install an elevated tree platform and zipline for their grandkids.

A 2025 customer gave one star, writing that the workmen were very competent if they had the material on time and that a notice of payment arrived three days before the job was to start. That customer called it "a nickel and dime operation."

A 2021 customer said they had been working with Dave Grecco for 21+ years.

Connecticut lists its home improvement contractor registration, HIC.0608293, as active, held by Carpentry and Handyman Concepts LLC.

**Strengths:**
- A deck rebuild — a 2022 customer walked onto the new deck within 3 days
- Door hanging — a 2023 customer hired David to hang a few doors
- Fair pricing — a recent customer called the pricing very fair

**Concerns:**
- On-time work — a 2025 customer would not recommend them for deadlines
- Payment notice — a 2025 customer got one three days before the start
