## The honest read

Carpet King and Flooring describes itself on its website as a floor and tile contractor that has worked in Fairfield and Norwalk, CT, and surrounding areas for over 25 years. On Google it holds 4.5 stars from 28 ratings, and its Better Business Bureau grade is A+.

In a 2023 review, a customer said Steve replaced the hardwood floors in their kitchen and dining room with vinyl plank flooring as part of a kitchen renovation. That 2023 customer said his crew demoed the existing floors and made the needed repairs before installing the new ones. The same 2023 review described an earlier job in 2020, when carpeting in an in-law apartment was replaced with vinyl plank, and said that when a plank showed a slight defect about a year later, he came out and fixed it under the lifetime warranty.

A 2024 customer said they came in after their basement flooded and they had to rip up their flooring; that customer said Steve sent them home with samples and that they were happy with the flooring and trim work his team completed. A 2024 reviewer who works as a decorator said they had gotten runners twice and wall-to-wall carpeting in their basement, and that the installers left the place spotless. In a 2024 review, a customer said Carpet King installed carpet on a staircase at a very reasonable price.

In a 2026 review, a customer said the team put new carpet in two bedrooms and vinyl flooring in a home office, finished within 6 hours and cleaned up the house.

A 2022 customer said they made contact multiple times with no response.
