The company's website says CB Roofing is now an Earthlight Technologies company, with Tim Cote-led craftsmanship since 1993. CB Roofing LLC's Connecticut home improvement contractor registration, HIC.0706553, is active on the state registry. A recent customer who came through Earthlight said the company removed and reinstalled their solar, installed a 50 year roof and 6 skylights, and that Tim stopped by several times to inspect. A recent customer said their shrubs were well protected and no debris was left after the roof was replaced. A 2026 customer said Tim was never pushy and that the pricing was fair and transparent, with no hidden fees. A 2025 customer who works in a facilities department said they hoisted huge tarps to protect the house and catch debris, then used a magnetic broom to scour the yard for nails. A 2025 customer said the old roof was removed and a new one installed in one day, with the sides of the house and the bushes covered. In a 2025 review, House of Heroes CT thanked CB Roofing for the gift of a new roof to a veteran in West Hartford. A 2024 customer said Tim helped them navigate the insurance process until the claim was approved. A 2024 customer said Tim chose to look from above rather than take out the ceiling below, was true to his quote, and that the work crew replaced roofs on 2 extensions in 2 days. In a later update to that 2024 review, the customer said they chased follow-up service for 5 months, including a no-show for a scheduled service, then confirmed the roof was repaired to their satisfaction at no charge. A 2025 customer said they could have been a little quicker to respond to calls about an issue. A 2021 customer said he told them he would return in 3 weeks in August and had not been seen or heard from by the end of November. **Strengths:** - Tarp and nail sweep — a 2025 customer described tarps and a magnetic nail broom - One-day replacement — a 2025 customer said the roof was replaced in one day - Insurance claim help — a 2024 customer said Tim helped navigate the insurance claim - Solar and roof together — a recent customer had solar removed, reinstalled and a new roof **Concerns:** - Follow-up service — a 2024 customer chased a repair visit for 5 months - Missed return — a 2021 customer said he never came back as promised ## Claims & citations Every claim below is backed by real evidence rows — uncited claims are dropped in code before publication. - 4.9-star Google rating from 62 ratings _(confidence: high)_ - [Google](https://www.google.com/maps/search/?api=1&query=CB%20Roofing&query_place_id=ChIJ6QZayPL35okRP0Asrvm3Xkk) — “Google: 4.9★ from 62 ratings” - CB Roofing LLC's Connecticut home improvement contractor registration, HIC.0706553, is active on the state registry _(confidence: high)_ - [State License Registry](https://www.elicense.ct.gov/Lookup/LicenseLookup.aspx) — “CT hic license HIC.0706553 registry-verified active — registry holder of record: CB ROOFING LLC” - The company's website says it is now an Earthlight Technologies company _(confidence: medium)_ - [Official Website](http://www.conventionalbuildersandroofing.com) — “About (self-reported, verbatim): CB Roofing is now an Earthlight Technologies company.
