## The honest read

Celtic Tree Service LLC is a tree company with a 4.9-star average from 16 ratings on HomeAdvisor and 5.0 from 6 on Angi. On Angi it lists a second business name, Celtic Tree & Landscape LLC.

A 2020 customer said they showed up on time, removed trees and brush and ground all stumps for a good price, then cleaned up so well you wouldn't know they had been there. A 2016 customer said they had two trees removed, one of them exceptionally large, and that the company had the equipment to complete the job.

In a 2015 review, a customer described cranes lifting the crew to the trees, dying trees handled carefully so they would not hit the house or shrubs, and a stump grinder used several times to clear stumps so the turf could be replanted. A 2015 customer said the price was fair, there was a written contract, and the work took one day, exactly as they said it would. A 2013 customer said the owner came to give a quote and stayed until he knew the estimate had arrived by email; that customer hired them about a month later, and they arrived an hour early.

A 2013 customer said a first call and message went unreturned; on the second call someone answered, they came out promptly, and the work was done over two days for a fair price. A 2019 customer advised telling them up front if you want them to pick up the wood after the work is done.

**Strengths:**
- Stump grinding — a 2020 customer said all stumps were ground
- A thorough cleanup — a 2020 customer said you wouldn't know they were there
- Large-tree equipment — a 2016 customer said they had the equipment for the job
- A written contract — a 2015 customer cited a fair price and written contract

**Concerns:**
- An unreturned first call — a 2013 customer's first message got no callback
- Wood pickup — a 2019 customer said to ask them to pick up the wood
