## The honest read

A 2024 customer whose cellar had flooded said Justin inspected the chimney, showed pictures of the problems, quoted a price lower than other estimates and offered to do the job that day, then sent pictures as the work progressed. Chimneys Are US holds 4.4 stars from 45 ratings on Google and 4.5 stars from 28 ratings on HomeAdvisor.

A 2024 Google customer said the company fixed grout, rebuilt the crown, caulked along the house and waterproofed the entire chimney, after climbing the roof and taking pictures for a detailed estimate. A 2023 customer said it installed a stainless liner and cap for the furnace flue and a new damper on the fireplace flue, and set up a partial payment plan. In a 2023 review, a customer said several other companies had refused to work on their 1800's home, and Rob fixed their wood-burning stove on the spot. A 2024 customer said Gina from the office had technicians out the next day for leaks into the fireplace of a seasonal house. A 2024 customer said Justin told them the chimney did not need the cleaning they had scheduled.

A 2023 customer said they were charged for a new cap plus grinding and repointing, that only new mortar was added upon the old, and that the leak got worse while calls went unreturned. A 2023 Google customer said the technician, Justin, put a woodstove pipe cleaning at almost double the emailed price, swore and drove away; two other companies later told them the pipe was already clean. A 2022 customer said an extra $130 was added on arrival for a cleaning they did not need, and a mortar patch shown in the quote pictures was not filled. A 2022 customer said the company warned of rusting in the liner from the furnace on a $600 exterior brick repair, and another company found no issues with the liner. A 2023 customer said they were rescheduled four times. Its BBB grade is C, and the BBB lists one complaint.
