A recent Google customer said the team communicated clearly throughout the entire project and made the remodeling process smooth and stress-free. A 2025 customer said Andrew and Paul guided them through the design phase of a master bathroom renovation. That 2025 customer wrote that there were hiccups with tiling, delays in shipping parts and a problem with the glass shower door, and that Paul and his team worked hard to fix every problem. In a 2018 Houzz review, a customer said Paul and his crew covered up an old chimney running through the bathroom during a full bathroom remodel. A 2025 customer said Choate took them from a detached one car garage to an attached two car and one motorcycle garage. A 2023 customer said Paul did a complete rebuild of their back deck and patio, with lighting and waterproofing for the patio section, and wrote that there had been zero issues in the more than 10 years since. A 2023 reviewer said Paul did a major reconstruction of their sun-room, replacing windows, skylights, a door and a fan. A 2023 customer wrote that Choate Builders is not the cheapest. In a 2018 Houzz review, a customer listed door replacements at approximately $1,500 and a second bathroom at roughly $18,000. Connecticut lists its home improvement contractor registration, HIC.0619070, as active, held by Choate Builders LLC. **Strengths:** - Clear communication — a recent customer said the team communicated clearly - A garage expansion — a 2025 customer went from one car to two - A lasting deck rebuild — a 2023 customer reported zero issues in 10-plus years **Concerns:** - Higher cost — a 2023 customer wrote that it is not the cheapest - Tile and shipping hiccups — a 2025 customer described delays in shipping parts ## Claims & citations Every claim below is backed by real evidence rows — uncited claims are dropped in code before publication. - Says it has helped homeowners with complex remodeling projects since 1996 _(confidence: medium)_ - [Official Website](https://choatebuilders.com) — “About (self-reported, verbatim): “Welcome to Choate Builders, LLC.
