## The honest read

Chris Battaini Roofing & Seamless Gutters is a roofing company, and one Google customer wrote that their new roof was done in one day, with Chris and his team respectful of the property and careful to protect the landscaping. That customer also praised the clean-up.

Its Massachusetts home improvement contractor registration, number 160959, in Christopher Battaini's name, is active on the state registry. On Google it shows 4.9 stars from 164 ratings. The company says it has been in business 20 years, and its website lists Pittsfield, Dalton, Adams, North Adams and other towns as its service area.

In a 2025 Google review, a customer said Chris and his crew stripped the old, worn and leaking roof on their 1880 Victorian house, which the customer described as tall, steep and complicated. That 2025 customer said the crew showed up exactly when promised and kept the jobsite tidy.

A 2024 Google customer said the property was left clean and neat after their new roof, as promised.

A 1-star Google reviewer, whose roof was leaking, wrote that Chris said he would get a quote done a few days later and call, and never called; after a second promised callback that never came, he asked "what's the hurry?" and then said he could not do any work for three months. That customer called him flaky and unprofessional.

In a 2025 Google review, a 1-star reviewer said the company damaged their vehicles while doing a roof next door, and that Chris was very unpleasant to deal with when told his crew had done the damage.

**Strengths:**
- A one-day roof — a customer said their new roof was done in one day
- A steep Victorian roof — a 2025 customer said the crew came exactly when promised
- A clean property — a 2024 customer said it was left clean and neat
- Active HIC registration — 160959 is active on the state registry

**Concerns:**
- Missed callbacks — a customer said Chris twice promised to call and never did
- A three-month wait — Chris told a leaking-roof customer he could not work for three months
- Damaged vehicles — a 2025 reviewer said the crew damaged their vehicles next door
