Last 6 months: 0 reviews, 0 negative. ## The honest read A 2026 customer said they had used Coastal Energy over the past year for boiler service, a mixing valve change on the hot water heater and fuel, then called it when a burning smell came from the breaker box around lunchtime on a Friday. That 2026 customer said the team rearranged schedules to have a master electrician at the house that day, and that he stayed late into the evening to remove and replace the box. The company describes itself on its website as a fuel business offering fuel delivery and high-efficiency heating systems. A 2024 customer said they had a tank set and filled and a furnace cleaned inside of 48 hours, and that the company fixed code compliance issues a previous provider had signed off on. A 2021 customer praised the annual boiler service. A 2021 reviewer wrote "Quick delivery!" and said talking to the office staff was always a pleasure. A 2025 customer said they called three times over several months to schedule propane tanks for a new generator, was told the company had one tech booked solid for heating season, and went with another provider after never hearing back. A 2023 customer said they called four times in one week about oil they were owed and got no call back, with the phone going to a full voicemail. A 2022 customer praised the oil driver but said they could have saved money on cleaning by making a few calls. A commenter who said they worked for Coastal for a few years wrote in a 2026 r/Maine thread that a customer who calls and complains about the bill will probably get it reduced. A 2026 r/Maine commenter wrote that "Coastal doesn’t like to fix, they like to replace." **Strengths:** - Emergency electrical call — a 2026 customer got a master electrician that day - A fast tank setup — a 2024 customer had a tank set and filled within 48 hours **Concerns:** - A generator tank wait — a 2025 customer never heard back after months of calls - Unreturned calls — a 2023 customer called four times about owed oil ## Claims & citations Every claim below is backed by real evidence rows — uncited claims are dropped in code before publication. - A 2026 customer said the company arranged a master electrician the same day for a burning breaker box, who stayed into the evening to replace it _(confidence: medium)_ - [Google Reviews](https://www.google.com/maps/reviews/data=!4m8!14m7!1m6!2m5!1sCi9DQUlRQUNvZENodHljRjlvT2todE1rNW1jV0pDYkhwVVlubFBZMWhaU2s5dWIwRRAB!2m1!1s0x0:0xc4d97ec578f83e0!3m1!1s2@1:CAIQACodChtycF9oOkhtMk5mcWJCbHpUYnlPY1hZSk9ub0E%7C%7C?hl=en-US) — “5★ Many business these days ask for a 5-star review, but this one is freely given, organically, without request.
