## The honest read

College Hunks Hauling Junk and Moving Springfield is the local franchise of the moving and junk-removal brand, and one recent customer who moved out of Southwick said the three movers, led by Nate, wrapped furniture in blankets where needed and did not damage any of it.

A recent customer whose move was estimated at 2.75 hours said JC and Nate finished it in under 2 hours. A recent reviewer said a three-person team unloaded a 20-foot U-Haul truck into a fourth-floor apartment with no elevator, with a heat index of 110 degrees. A recent customer who was handling everything remotely said the team used FaceTime and pictures to help with the packing and moving, and called with ETAs through the day.

A recent customer sent a picture of a pile of rotting wood rounds from a tree, got a quote within 24 hours, had the job done the same day the quote came, and got a call the following day to check on it. A recent customer getting rid of a riding lawnmower said another company's price went up after its quote, while College Hunks stuck to its word and came in lower. A recent customer who had a kitchen table taken away said the price is set by how much room a load takes in the truck, not by the item.

In a 2026 review, a customer moving out of state said Amy came out for a free estimate, the customer rescheduled several times, and Ryan and Tod were careful with wall widths, ceiling heights, corners and stairs when removing the furniture.

The company's website lists local and long-distance moves, packing, hourly labor, donation pickups and light demolition for residential and commercial customers. A wwlp.com story names Amy Monroe as owner of the local franchise and a US Navy veteran. DoubleMW Corp, doing business as College Hunks Hauling Junk & Moving, holds Massachusetts Supplier Diversity Office Women Business Enterprise and Veteran Business Enterprise certifications, number 20250530, both active through 2028.

**Strengths:**
- A quick move — a recent customer said a 2.75-hour estimate took under 2 hours
- A same-day removal — a recent customer said the job was done the quote's day
- A quote honored — a recent customer said they stuck to their word on price
- Careful furniture handling — a recent customer said furniture was wrapped in blankets
