Last 6 months: 9 reviews, 1 negative. ## The honest read A tub pulled out and replaced with a walk-in shower: a recent customer of Connecticut Custom Creations said the bid was prompt and thorough, came with options to keep the cost down, and that Guillermo and his team did the installation. The company remodels bathrooms and kitchens, and its website lists a service area naming Hartford, New Haven, Fairfield, Litchfield, Middlesex, New London, Tolland and Windham. It holds 4.8 stars from 57 Google ratings, 4.7 from 26 on Houzz and 4.8 from 25 on Angi, and its BBB grade is A. A recent customer who worked with Dustin on a bathroom shower renovation said he kept them informed and answered questions promptly. A recent customer renovating an original 1943 bathroom said the team handled surprises along the way and went along with purple grout. A recent customer said Dustin started a basement finishing project on time and finished 1 week early. A recent customer said the installer, Gustavo, and project manager Joe stayed on top of a new kitchen. A 2025 customer whose kitchen was ruined by a flood said the company completed a full kitchen remodel in five weeks, 10 days ahead of the contract date. A recent customer gave one star, saying the bathroom the company did is falling apart, that they were talked from a tile shower into a vinyl wall system, and that copper pipe was switched to smaller PEX so the tub dribbles out of the shower head. A 2025 customer on Angi said a bathroom and bedroom job promised at one month plus ran past two months and that construction traffic damaged the dining room floor; Dustin gave a discount toward a flooring company. A 2024 customer said they were left with $800 in plumbing repairs and a detached fan exhaust vent that caused mold. A 2024 customer on Angi described a kitchen renovation dispute in which Dustin refused to return a $4,000 deposit and assessed cancellation and restocking fees. Connecticut lists its home improvement contractor registration, HIC.0699725, held by Connecticut Custom Creations, as inactive. **Strengths:** - Walk-in shower conversion — a recent customer had a tub replaced with one - An early finish — a recent customer's basement was done a week early - A five-week kitchen — a 2025 customer said it finished 10 days early **Concerns:** - Shower plumbing — a recent customer said the tub dribbles from the shower head - A withheld deposit — a 2024 customer said $4,000 was not returned - A damaged floor — a 2025 customer said construction traffic damaged it ## Claims & citations Every claim below is backed by real evidence rows — uncited claims are dropped in code before publication. - 4.8 stars from 57 Google ratings _(confidence: high)_ - [Google](https://www.google.com/maps/search/?api=1&query=Connecticut%20Custom%20Creations%E2%84%A2&query_place_id=ChIJqS42knTh54kRtetfmFH0pYU) — “Google: 4.8★ from 57 ratings” - 4.7 stars from 26 Houzz ratings and 4.8 from 25 Angi ratings _(confidence: high)_ - [Houzz](https://www.houzz.com/professionals/kitchen-and-bath-remodelers/connecticut-custom-creations-pfvwus-pf~944874435) — “Houzz: 4.7★ from 26 ratings” - [Angi](https://www.angi.com/companylist/us/ct/newington/connecticut-custom-creations-reviews-10763836.htm) — “Angi: 4.8★ from 25 ratings” - BBB grade of A _(confidence: high)_ - [Better Business Bureau](https://www.bbb.org/us/ct/newington/profile/remodeling/connecticut-custom-creations-0111-110094431) — “Better Business Bureau grade: A” - Its website lists a service area naming Hartford, New Haven, Fairfield, Litchfield, Middlesex, New London, Tolland and Windham _(confidence: medium)_ - [Official Website](https://www.connecticutcustomcreations.com) — “Stated service area (self-reported): Hartford, New Haven, Fairfield, Litchfield, Middlesex, New London, Tolland, Windham” - A recent customer had a tub replaced with a walk-in shower _(confidence: high)_ - [Google Reviews](https://www.google.com/maps/reviews/data=!4m8!14m7!1m6!2m5!1sCi9DQUlRQUNvZENodHljRjlvT25ORU4yZzFhSE5xVTFWblFXSklTVmxSVFVzeFJWRRAB!2m1!1s0x0:0x85a5f451985febb5!3m1!1s2@1:CAIQACodChtycF9oOnNEN2g1aHNqU1VnQWJISVlRTUsxRVE%7C%7C?hl=en-US) — “5★ We had our tub removed and replaced with a walk in shower.
