## The honest read

Connecticut House Painters LLC paints homes inside and out and also does power washing. A recent customer described it as owned by Javier Santos and his family, and the company says it has been in business 15 years. Its listed service area runs through towns such as Waterford, Groton, Ledyard, New London and Old Saybrook.

One recent customer was on a short timeline tied to an escrow and a move-in. That customer said Javier and his crew cleaned up well and kept work noise down while the kids napped, that he shored up loose trim and moulding, and that Javier kept to the deadlines. A recent customer said Javier and his team "made my house and deck look beautiful."

A 2025 customer said the painters did a high arched chalet wood ceiling, filling wood holes, cutting lines and painting it white. A 2025 reviewer who hired Javier for an interior painting project said the job was finished faster than expected. A 2024 customer said they painted the exterior of the house the year before and the interior that spring, and that the price was fair. A 2023 customer said the employee who came out worked until bad rust on one side of the aluminum siding was all gone. A 2023 reviewer said the house and windows were washed, the roof treated and the deck power washed. In a 2021 review, a customer said Javier and his wife power-washed the siding and composite decking, and that getting a quote meant texting him pictures of the house and deck.

A 2024 customer said they took time off work to meet for a quote, and he never showed or got in touch by text, email or phone. A 2022 customer said they never got a call back.

Connecticut lists its home improvement contractor registration, HIC.0642594, as active, held by Connecticut House Painters LLC.

**Strengths:**
- Kept to deadlines — a recent customer said Javier met a tight move-in timeline
- A chalet ceiling — a 2025 customer said the painters painted it white
- Quotes from photos — a 2021 customer texted pictures to get a quote
- A fair price — a 2024 customer said the price was fair

**Concerns:**
- A missed quote visit — a 2024 customer said he never showed or called
- An unreturned call — a 2022 customer said they never got a call back
