## The honest read

Power washing, painting, a garbage disposal, a water heater: Cordero’s Handyman services takes on a wide spread of jobs around the house, and it holds a 5-star average from 29 Google ratings. The company's website names a service area that includes New Haven, Hamden, Wallingford, Meriden, Middletown and Hartford, and the company describes its work as remodeling and property improvements handled with a clear scope.

One customer hired Anthony to power wash the exterior of the home, paint the entire outside of the house, stain the deck and handle minor electrical work, including repairing switches and installing ceiling fans. A customer had the gutters cleaned and the house power washed and said it looks brand new. A customer who owns several properties in Meriden and New Haven said the company handled painting, hardwood floor refinishing and toilet, vanity and light fixture replacements.

Inside the house, a customer said Anthony painted kitchen trim, cabinets and the baby room, replaced a switch plate and installed two new sconces. A customer said Anthony sheetrocked, primed and added trim to a new bathroom. A customer wrote that a hot water heater was replaced fast, with no problems.

Some calls are urgent. A customer with a plumbing emergency at one of their properties on a Saturday night said Anthony responded right away, purchased the needed parts and had everything fixed within an hour; that customer also wrote that he speaks Spanish.

The way the work is run gets mentioned too: a customer said Anthony itemized everything being done, gave timelines of completion and always let them know when he was on the way and when he arrived.

Connecticut lists its home improvement contractor registration, HIC.0705160, as active, held by Cordero’s Handyman LLC.

**Strengths:**
- Power washing — a customer said the house looks brand new
- Fair pricing — called fair on price and reasonably priced
- A fast emergency fix — a plumbing emergency fixed within an hour
- Itemized estimates — a customer got itemized work and completion timelines
