A 2024 customer said they wanted a large, old deck demolished and a bonus living space and smaller deck built, and wrote that they were thrilled with how the four-season-room addition and deck turned out. In that 2024 review, the customer said Jess proposed a modified design that significantly reduced the cost of the project, and that the additional costs from scope expansions were clearly articulated. The same 2024 customer wrote that after a bathroom plumbing leak sent water through the kitchen ceiling, Kyle had someone from the Cortland team over within minutes and arranged for a plumber. A 2024 customer said Cortland completed a large interior renovation on schedule and on budget, and that Dave's recommendations to the work scope to limit structural impacts saved thousands in additional engineering costs. A 2025 customer, writing about a renovation, said Dave and Kyle were honest and clear in communication and very responsive with all their questions. A 2025 reviewer who bought a house Corland Builders had built about 3 years earlier wrote that, while running network cables, they found a flexible conduit pre-run between one outlet and another 10 feet away. **Strengths:** - Cost-saving design — a 2024 customer said Jess's modified design significantly reduced cost - Fast leak response — a 2024 customer said Kyle had someone over within minutes - On-budget renovation — a 2024 customer said the interior renovation came in on budget - Engineering savings — a 2024 customer said Dave's scope changes saved thousands ## Claims & citations Every claim below is backed by real evidence rows — uncited claims are dropped in code before publication. - 5 stars from 5 Google ratings _(confidence: high)_ - [Google](https://www.google.com/maps/search/?api=1&query=Cortland%20Builders%20LLC&query_place_id=ChIJRSwxgdfr4okRXlJ1P24Hnu8) — “Google: 5★ from 5 ratings” - Says it grew out of the design-build team Dave Ciccalone developed while operating as Yankee Construction LLC _(confidence: medium)_ - [Official Website](https://www.cortlandbuilders.com) — “About (self-reported, verbatim): Cortland Builders LLC emerges as the progression of Dave Ciccalone and his highly talented design-build tea…” - A 2024 customer described a four-season-room addition and deck replacing a large, old deck _(confidence: high)_ - [Google Reviews](https://www.google.com/maps/reviews/data=!4m8!14m7!1m6!2m5!1sChdDSUhNMG9nS0VJQ0FnSURuc1piZjlBRRAB!2m1!1s0x0:0xef9e076e3f75525e!3m1!1s2@1:CIHM0ogKEICAgIDnsZbf9AE%7C%7C?hl=en-US) — “5★ In short: We are thrilled with how our four-season-room addition and deck turned out.
