That 2022 customer said his pricing was fair and comparable with other area contractors. On its Houzz profile, Criscuolo Design & Build says it has been in business since 1985 and that Antony Criscuolo, the owner, has a four-year degree in design and space planning. The jobs run large. A 2016 customer said the company completed a second-floor cape-style addition on their house. A 2012 customer said it did a 1,500 sq ft addition and remodel and finished on time and on budget. A 2017 customer said the company renovated their kitchen, and that the team was always on time and they were notified every evening about the next day's schedule. A 2017 customer said the job they hired the company for included renovating the kitchen with custom cabinets, converting an old sauna into a new bathroom and sitting room, and turning an old kitchen and laundry room into a home office in a house built in the 1940s. A 2015 customer said Anthony did their roof, driveway, exterior porch and back deck, and built a wine closet and renovated the basement. After a leak that damaged three floors of that 2015 customer's home, they said he consulted on the drying process, insurance and repairs. A 2022 Houzz customer said they had used the company for over twenty years on three houses in Fairfield County, from complete renovations to replacing a window. A 2024 Google customer said Antony reached out each day to summarize the work completed and plan the next day's schedule, and called his prices fair and competitive. A 2025 customer said Antony set costs and expectations clearly from the start. The company holds 5.0 stars from 8 ratings on Houzz and 5 stars from 5 on Google, and its Better Business Bureau grade is A+. Connecticut lists its home improvement contractor registration, HIC.0572143, as active, held by Criscuolo Design Build. **Strengths:** - Daily schedule updates — a 2024 customer said Antony summarized each day's work - Addition on budget — a 2012 customer said it finished on time and budget - Clear cost expectations — a 2025 customer said Antony set costs clearly upfront - Fair pricing — a 2022 customer called it comparable with area contractors ## Claims & citations Every claim below is backed by real evidence rows — uncited claims are dropped in code before publication. - A 2022 customer said Antony renovated two houses for them, including kitchens, bathrooms, decking, tile and floors, and built a music studio above the garage _(confidence: high)_ - [Houzz](https://www.houzz.com/professionals/general-contractors/criscuolo-design-build-pfvwus-pf~59886494) — “5★ I have used Criscuolo Design Build as my contracting company for 6 years.
