## The honest read

CT Moving & Storage is a mover people call for whole-house moves, storage runs and single heavy pieces. The company says it has been in business for 56 years, and its Google page shows 4.9 stars from 2,165 ratings. It lists Hartford, New Haven, Fairfield, Litchfield, Tolland, Middlesex, Windham and New London as its service area.

A recent customer said Christian Gomez and a team of three total moved an entire 1,700 square foot home, putting back together anything that had to be broken down. A recent customer said Matheus and Daniel wrapped everything in plastic and protected items with glass doors with cardboard before wrapping. A recent customer said Gustavo and Pedro got a giant couch through tiny doorways after Gustavo said "let's try one more thing." For an estate sale, a recent customer said Gerson and Danil arrived at 8 am and worked non-stop for 4 1/2 hours on pieces including solid cherry armoires and an 8 ft couch.

A recent customer said a move out of a Brooklyn brownstone after a snowstorm took two trucks and a crew of 6 led by Leo, and the load bound for rural CT went to storage until spring because the driveway was frozen. A 2025 customer said 4 guys moved an upright piano from the living room to storage in the basement down a set of stairs. A 2025 customer said a move from CT to NY with Thales and his crew cost less than an earlier move of only 10 miles.

A recent Google reviewer reported that the driver of truck CT 37 was on a phone and went straight from a left-turn-only lane. Its BBB page shows an A grade and three complaints.

**Strengths:**
- Careful wrapping — a recent customer said glass-door items got cardboard first
- Heavy furniture — a recent customer said cherry armoires and an 8 ft couch moved
- Piano move — a 2025 customer said 4 guys moved an upright downstairs
