The customer also praised the speed of the work. Based in Indian Orchard, the company says it has been in business for 40 years, offers free estimates, and serves Longmeadow. Its website advertises flooring, general remodeling, kitchen and bathroom remodeling, window and door replacement, and new decks. A March 2023 customer described a much different experience with carpet installation. They said delivery took more than a month after an initial estimate of about a week, an installation appointment was missed, and communication was poor. The reviewer alleged that $700 and a speaker were stolen. In their account, the speaker was missing after two workers installed the carpet, and they accused one worker of taking it. These are the customer's allegations. Other dated customers praised completed work. In October 2022, a reviewer said Jim and his crew installed a new floor and redid two rooms, then followed up and responded to make sure the work was right. A September 2024 review from Lori of Four Guys And A Truck described smooth renovations, praised the workmanship, and said the estimate was the cheapest they had obtained. Google lists a 4.4-star average from 16 ratings. **Strengths:** - Hardwood floor repairs — a September 2022 customer praised blended patches and refinishing - Responsive project follow-up — an October 2022 customer praised the crew's responsiveness - Renovation estimate pricing — a September 2024 reviewer said theirs was the cheapest - Free estimates — offered on the company's website **Concerns:** - Theft allegation — a March 2023 reviewer alleged $700 and a speaker were stolen - Carpet installation delays — a March 2023 customer reported a month's wait and missed appointment - Poor communication — reported by the March 2023 carpet-installation customer ## Claims & citations Every claim below is backed by real evidence rows — uncited claims are dropped in code before publication. - The company says it has been in business for 40 years, offers free estimates, and serves Longmeadow. _(confidence: high)_ - [Official Website](http://cummingsrf.com) — “Stated offer (self-reported): free estimates” - [Official Website](http://cummingsrf.com) — “Self-reported 40 years in business” - [Official Website](http://cummingsrf.com) — “Stated service area (self-reported): Longmeadow” - A September 2022 customer praised hardwood-floor refinishing and repairs whose patches blended into the finished floors. _(confidence: high)_ - [Google Reviews](https://maps.google.com/?cid=317725315164183957&g_mp=CiVnb29nbGUubWFwcy5wbGFjZXMudjEuUGxhY2VzLkdldFBsYWNlEAIYBCAA) — “5★ Cummings Remodeling and Flooring redid our hardwood floors.
