Its Connecticut home improvement contractor registration has expired. In an October 2024 review, a customer said Edison redid the top of their chimney, removing cracking bricks and capping it, at a very reasonable price. A January 2025 customer with a furnace chimney problem said the crew explained their findings with video and pictures and found less wrong than other companies had claimed. A December 2024 reviewer said the crew covered the floor with protective tarps and vacuumed after a routine cleaning. In an October 2022 review, a customer said they were able to re-line the chimney the same day and put on chimney caps. Price and follow-through draw complaints. An October 2024 customer was quoted $150 on the phone for a basic sweep, was told $750 on arrival, and paid $450 for about 20 minutes of work. A November 2024 reviewer said an estimate appointment was set and then never confirmed, with no reply to calls or texts, and a November 2025 customer said a month of messages went unanswered. In a September 2023 Angi review, a homeowner who had asked only for a quote said the crew began pulling off the chimney cap, damaged it and never came back to repair it. The Better Business Bureau grades the company B- and counts one complaint against it. On Google it holds 4.5 stars from 25 ratings, and on Angi and HomeAdvisor 4.6 from 19. **Strengths:** - Chimney cleaning — 2022–2026 customers praised clean, careful sweeps - Shown findings — 2024 and 2025 customers got photos or video **Concerns:** - Price changes — a 2024 customer saw a $150 quote become $450 - Unanswered calls — 2024 and 2025 reviewers got no reply - Damaged cap — a 2023 homeowner says a cap was damaged, unrepaired - BBB grade — B- with one complaint ## Claims & citations Every claim below is backed by real evidence rows — uncited claims are dropped in code before publication. - Edison praised by Google customers for chimney cleaning and repair in 2024 to 2026 _(confidence: high)_ - [Google Reviews](https://www.google.com/maps/reviews/data=!4m8!14m7!1m6!2m5!1sCi9DQUlRQUNvZENodHljRjlvT21sUlRFRlFUSG8zVm05aVFqaHVjMHN4Y2tVd1dtYxAB!2m1!1s0x0:0x3d5639fb1f2bfed3!3m1!1s2@1:CAIQACodChtycF9oOmlRTEFQTHo3Vm9iQjhuc0sxckUwWmc%7C%7C?hl=en-US) — “5★ Edison was great he was prompt and did a thorough job cleaning the chimney” - [Google Reviews](https://www.google.com/maps/reviews/data=!4m8!14m7!1m6!2m5!1sChdDSUhNMG9nS0VJQ0FnSURucDcyRGlnRRAB!2m1!1s0x0:0x3d5639fb1f2bfed3!3m1!1s2@1:CIHM0ogKEICAgIDnp72DigE%7C%7C?hl=en-US) — “5★ Edison recently redid the top of our chimney, removing several feet of cracking bricks and replacing them with new capping off the chimne…” - [Google Reviews](https://www.google.com/maps/reviews/data=!4m8!14m7!1m6!2m5!1sChdDSUhNMG9nS0VJQ0FnSURuM2Y3bTNnRRAB!2m1!1s0x0:0x3d5639fb1f2bfed3!3m1!1s2@1:CIHM0ogKEICAgIDn3f7m3gE%7C%7C?hl=en-US) — “5★ Excellent work and fast too!
