## The honest read

D&D Mechanical is a heating and air-conditioning business that says it has been in business for 19 years. When an outdoor mini-split unit fell over and stopped cooling, a recent Google customer called after other companies quoted high fees just to inspect the indoor units. David called back promptly, came over, fixed the outdoor leak and charged a price that customer put at 4 to 5 times cheaper than the other quotes.

A 2025 customer said David Devivo installed a new heat pump in their Hamden house and arranged the state rebates, saving them over $2000. A 2025 customer who had a new A/C system installed named the owner as David and said the installation had no surprises or delays and everything was left clean afterward. A 2025 customer said David did a complete A/C tune-up and showed them some quick fixes they could do themselves. A 2025 customer said David arrived on time, assessed an HVAC problem and fixed it, and that the business did not pitch unnecessary work.

Its Better Business Bureau grade is A.

**Strengths:**
- Mini-split leak repair — a recent customer said the price beat other quotes
- Heat pump install — a 2025 customer said David arranged state rebates
- A/C tune-up — a 2025 customer said David showed them quick fixes
